Paris Jackson’s Ellen Interview Makes Us Want To Protect Her Even More

Shortly after it was announced that Paris Jackson will make her movie debut in the live-action/animated film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys, which begins filming next year, the 13-year-old stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for a chat that will air on Thursday. And immediately upon seeing excerpts of her interview, we want to whisk her away and protect her for a few more years. She’s luminous and poised —- not at all suffering from the awkwardness normal people endure at her age. But she also has an air of gentleness, not unlike her father’s, that makes us worry that the world will want to eat her up too soon.

Paris told Ellen she loves going to school (she and Prince go to the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks) and feels like she has a “regular childhood” these days. “When I came to Buckley, they didn’t know who I was, so I was like, ‘Yes! I have a chance to be normal,’ ” she said, still kind of breaking our hearts.

Ellen asked if she thought her dad’s practice of making her and her brothers wear masks in public is what gave her that chance to be normal, and she agreed, though she wasn’t a fan of it at first.

“I’m like, ‘This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?’ But I kind of realized the older I got that he only tried to protect us. He explained that to us, too,” Paris said.

Michael Jackson’s Death-Bed Tops Our List Of Creepy Celebrity Auction Items

Good luck getting a sound sleep in this bed. It’s where Michael Jackson died in 2009, and it can be yours if you’re willing to shell out some serious bucks! The bed is just one of the many items being auctioned off from the Holmby Hills home where the King of Pop spent his last days. The queen-size piece is reportedly in great condition, and will go under the hammer on December 17. This is without a doubt the weirdest celebrity auction since, well, last week, when John Lennon’s tooth was sold for $31,200 to a Canadian dentist.

Look, we’ll be the first to cop to loving bizarre and boarder-line psychotic collectibles. In fact, we personally own a 1 sq. inch square swath of John Lennon’s carpet. And we’re proud of it! Kind of. But buying MJ’s death bed or John’s rotted out tooth seems to cross some kind of creepy line. Check out the gallery below for some other celebrity auction items that kind of weird us out.

Conrad Murray Found Guilty In Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial

Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson‘s personal physician at the time of his untimely death in June 2009, was found guilty on manslaughter charges in a California courtroom just moments ago.

The trial of Conrad Murray began back on September 27 with a bombshell; on the first day of the trial, prosecutors unveiled a shocking audio tape of a totally-out-of-it Michael Jackson slurring his words, a recording that was captured just six weeks before Jackson’s untimely passing. This previously unheard recording went a long way towards establishing Murray in the eyes of the jury (not to mention the public-at-large) as an incompetent doctor at best, a murderer at worst.

Beyonce Bows Out Of Michael Jackson Tribute Gig?

Despite initial reports that her pregnancy wouldn’t stop her from Moonwalking, Beyonce has apparently pulled out of the high profile Michael Jackson tribute concert this October. Bebe was supposed to have her spot beamed in live via satellite to the concert arena in Cardiff, Wales, but a source tells RadarOnline that this is sadly no longer the case. Instead she will be offering up a ”a special contribution on video.” No word yet on why the singer had to take a downgrade, but we’re guessing it’s pregnancy related. But fans who already have tickets to the sold out gig probably aren’t too bummed. They still have performances from Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Gladys Knight, Ne-Yo and Smokey Robinson to look forward to!

Michael Jackson’s Pet Chimp Sucked Whitney Houston’s Toes

We’re gonna say it, Michael Jackson‘s pet chimp Bubbles is a bit of a superfreak. At least according to The Real Michael Jackson, a documentary made by lifelong Jackson friend and reality star David Gest. While the cameras rolled, Gest told the story of MJ’s simian companion putting some serious Quentin Tarantino moves on dinner guest Whitney Houston. “Whitney was having dinner with Michael at his Neverland home when she accidentally dropped her knife under the table,” Gest explained. Ever the gentleman, Mike got down on his hands and knees to retrieve it for her. And suddenly Whitney felt the sensation of her toes being sucked. But instead of being freaked out, she was kinda into it. “She moaned, ‘Michael, is that you? Don’t stop. That’s so sensual.’” Gest continued, creating a mental-scene so bizarre that the only way to make it weirder is the addition of a monkey. “Yet Michael’s head popped up and her toes were still being sucked. It turned out it was Bubbles.” We can’t imagine Bobby Brown was cool with this. Did he go all Marcelles Wallace on Bubbles!?

Jay-Z Declares Beyonce “The Second Coming” Of Michael Jackson

When you want to flatter the woman you love, you’re going to come up with the most sincere, romantic compliment you can think of. So when Jay-Z calls Beyonce Michael Jackson reincarnated, you know that’s basically international superstar foreplay. “What I’ve learned from her is similar to what I learned from Mike [Jackson] – and I know that’s blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator – but I think she’s like the second coming,” Jay-Z told South Beach’s Jamz 99 about his wife. They were also the only two people on the planet who could ever really pull of wearing epaulets. Ever.

Jay-Z must have music royalty on his mind, given that he just released his new album Watch The Throne with Kanye West last week. “You know, the hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows,” Jay-Z said, continuing his praise of Beyonce. “It just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She’s like a machine.” Seriously though, they would have to be two machines to look that good in a military-inspired jacket. It just doesn’t seem human.

Paparazzi Busted For Chasing Down Paris Jackson

We can’t imagine how anyone could live with themselves by making money off making childrens’ lives hell. The levels of harassment are shocking. Two paparazzi were tailing Paris Jackson and were so hellbent on getting her pictures that they broke two red lights in the process, apart from driving like maniacs. Clearly, they have learnt nothing from Princess Diana‘s death. These car chases are terrifying and we can’t stress this enough: Paris is only 13 years old. She may be Michael Jackson‘s daughter, but she’s only just begun her teens.

Here’s the really sad part. The police couldn’t arrest them because they weren’t witness to the car chase. They can’t even cite them for like, reckless endangerment or something of the sort. The photographers were handcuffed for a short period of time but not hauled in. Which is such a travesty! Paris has the option to sue them in civil court, though.

La Toya Jackson Tells VH1: “Michael Was Murdered”

Latoya Jackson was in our office yesterday and spoke with VH1 News about the death of her brother, icon Michael Jackson. She very bluntly told us, “Michael was murdered, bottom line. And these people [his management] did it.” La Toya seems both determined and desperate and she goes on to plead for help in solving what she believes is his murder, begging people who know anything to reach out to her. The second anniversary of Michael’s death is tomorrow. Do you still remember where you were when you found out he had died? Do you agree with La Toya’s belief that MJ’s death was deliberate?

Company Sells Scraps Of Michael Jackson’s Clothes As Trading Cards

Looks like Joe Jackson isn’t the only person hoping to make some money off of MJ. As if America didn’t have dozens of songs, music videos, TV appearances and ill-advised red leather jackets to remember him by, now Michael Jackson’s clothing will be sold in pieces as part of a new trading card series from Panini America, a memorabilia company that is apparently as bad as coming up with collectibles as they are with coming up with sensible company names.

According to their site, the clothes “were worn by the King of Pop himself from 1971 through 1974 during many memorable performances, including The Flip Wilson Show, American Bandstand, Soul Train, and televised specials anchored by such luminaries as Bob Hope and Diana Ross.” Using words that we ourselves would have used, except to make fun of them, two years ago the company “purchased the history-soaked pieces of sartorial splendor at auction two years ago — and cut them up.” In case you for some reason want to own 1/30 of a polyester suit coat MJ wore for 15 minutes in 1973, the Official Michael Jackson Trading Card Set will be available at Target next week. As to who you would possibly trade these cards with, that’s between you and the other fanatical collectors.

Joe Jackson Sued Over His Michael Jackson-Themed Perfumes

While we were certainly impressed by how Joe Jackson made sure to use only his last name on his Michael Jackson-themed fragrance line, Bravado, the company with the rights to sell MJ’s trademark, wasn’t. Last week’s launch of “Parfum De Neverland” ground to a halt after Bravado filed suit against the superstar’s father, who coincidentally decided he wanted no contact with Julian Rouas, the sniffster behind the project. “I don’t like the way he does things,” explained Joe, shattering the last window of his glass house.

As far as the lawsuit against him, Joe’s unimpressed. “They can say whatever they want,” he told the AFP. “I am the father, he was my son and I can decide what to do on his behalf and in his honor. There are many interests around the legacy of my son, companies that want everything, but I have a foundation that allows me to launch projects with his name, the name of my son.” There’s no word when and if the stink will be released, and considering how many lawsuits Joe Jackson has floating around, we wouldn’t hold our breath.
