Jamie Lynn Spears Praises Teen Mom, Gets Real About Birth Control In Glamour

For a combination child star, sibling of Britney Spears and teen mom, Jamie Lynn Spears is way more functional than she has any right to be. In the new issue of Glamour, Jamie Lynn wants everyone to know she’s done a lot of growing up since she had daughter Maddie at 16. Let’s start with a very mature recounting of how she became accidentally pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Oh yes, girl goes there. “I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor,” the former Zoey 101 star reveals. “And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control.” What’s Jamie keeping over there? Oh, she’s keeping it real? Just wanted to make sure.

Now at the cusp of 21, Jamie Lynn is finally easing back into the spotlight, having made her singing debut this past November in Nashville. Just keep in mind when you’re blasting her album in a few years that Jamie has not had an easy go of things. “When I saw MTV’s Teen Mom was coming out, I remember thinking, Oh my God, I cannot wait to see this show because there’s someone else out there,” she admits. “I mean, I feel for those girls. I’ve been that girl. It does show that motherhood is hard. There were so many times—especially when Maddie would get sick—when I would cry to myself and think, I really don’t know what to do.” We can tell we’re going to like this new Jamie Lynn a lot. Like, Britney-circa-In The Zone levels of like. Just to be clear, that is the album that has “Toxic” on it.

Britney’s Other Ex-Husband Calls Her Engagement “Fake”

Let’s all say it at once: if only BritBit had married the other Jason Alexander. George might have called Britney Spears’ engagement to Jason Trawick “fake,” but at least he’d have the decency to do it behind her back/ while enjoying some delicious rice pudding with Jerry at the diner. Spears’ real-life ex, however has gone directly to the media with his allegations. “I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not,” Alexander told Us about his ex-wife’s impending nuptials. “I think it’s fake and I think people are afraid to say it.” To be fair, we’re guessing the man who was married to Britney for less than three days would know from fake. Can we get KFed in here to show the boy how to act right?

This isn’t the first time Britney’s first husband has gone after after Trawick, either. Last December Jason Alexander even alleged domestic violence; “Britney is in an abusive relationship. She told me her life had turned into a nightmare,” he told Star. “Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler,” Husband #1 snarks now, referring to Trawick’s former role as Spears’ manager. “That way she always has someone controlling her. It’s sort of sad.” Can we as a culture just collectively agree to pretend she married the other Jason Alexander? Just change Britney’s Wiki article and our children will never know the difference!

Kevin Federline Praises Britney’s New Fiance, Completely Redeems Himself

We’re not going to lie: even now some part of our lizard brain recoils from Kevin Federline. It’s not entirely our fault! Remember “Popozao”? Remember Britney’s unpleasantness with the umbrella? Even four years and a half years after their divorce, our minds have a hard time wrapping themselves around the fact that KFed is…is…is actually a nice guy! “I’m really happy for her,” Kevin told Australia’s TV Week about Britney Spears’ engagement to Jason Trawick. “She’s happy; she’s doing really well. I want to say she’s in a good place.” About Trawick himself, Federline adds, “I’ve spoken to him quite a few times as of now. He seems like a really good guy. The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him.” But…those Frappacinos years! Defenses…weakening. Hatred for KFed…dissipating.

Federline, who is currently shooting the celeb weight loss show Excess Baggage Down Under, is currently canoodling with girlfriend Victoria Prince, with whom he had baby Jordan Key in August. “She’s more than I could ever have hoped for,” Kevin said of his lady love. “Hopefully Britney feels the same way.” Oh wow, that is sweet. Hmm, now if only we could figure out what would get us past his egregious performance of “Lost Control” at Teen Choice Awards in 2006? Oh right…KFed’s also a good father to their sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. Wow, it feels good to let go.

Is Britney Spears Getting Engaged? Rumors Abound!

If TMZ‘s reports are correct, then pop the champagne, because Britney Spears is getting engaged to boyfriend Jason Tracwick. You heard correctly — getting. The site reports that multiple close sources claim that Jason is going to get down on bended knee and asking Brit-Brit to marry him … tonight! Those high pitched sounds you hear are of us squeeing. Apparently, the singer already knows about the plan, set to go down in Las Vegas. Which was also the site of her incredibly short marriage to Jason Alexander, if memory serves correctly. If this story is true, then things really do come full circle!

Sources also told the site that her conservators are in the know and have already approved of them getting married. As per their information, Jason asked Britney’s father for her hand in marriage. And here’s how this is really a modern day fairy tale: There will be a prenup, of course. Looks like we’ll have to keep our eyes and ears peeled to see if it really does unfold tonight. If it does, then can we be the first to say congratulations, guys!

Britney Spears’ Birthday Presents: A Fantasy Gift Guide

Britney, we know we’ve been equal parts celebrating your birthday (and your 30 hottest looks and hair-volution) and taking the piss out of you (and your 30 worst looks and your cheese-tastic perfume commercials). But it’s all meant with love. To show you how much you mean to us, here is a list of all the things we’re going to fantasy buy you for your 30th b-day.

First, we asked our friends at Glamour.com, ’cause we thought they’d know what to get the woman who has everything: “A pair of Rollasole flats… just in case she’s ever stranded barefoot in a public restroom again,” said the site’s Obsessed blogger Suzy Byrne. She also decided that mere reality wouldn’t hold her back from the perfect gift: “Our super-duper new invention: the Glamovision Goggles! Brit-Brit can just slip on these superpowered shades when the paparazzi are around and — poof — she has the power to look perfect in every picture they take.”

And as a third gift, because Brit’s just that special, Suzy’s going to add one more present to the pile. “Back in 2008 when we interviewed her, she said she likes to stay home and read Danielle Steel novels, so we’d give her the complete collection, and throw in all the DVDs too.”

Britney Spears’ 30 Worst Fashion Disasters

Britney Spears is turning the big 3-0 tomorrow, and in honor of her birth we decided to look back on her most insane, over-the-top and confounding fashion choices. The woman has never been boring, and we think that is an achievement worth celebrating. Even if it does sometimes get … out of hand.
