Last night we came across this video of Jessica Simpson using an ear wax candle given to her for Christmas by her BFF hairdresser Ken Paves, and you know what? We totally fell in love with her. All past offenses - Chicken of the Sea, Mom jeans, every one of her songs, John Mayer - were forgiven the instant she shoved a candle in her ear and started screaming.

For as much as the manufactured Jessica has bugged us in the past, the real one always charms our Old Navy pants off. She’s goofy, likeable, naturally easy on the eyes, and willing to post a video to Twitter that reveals herself to be both awkward and a Papa John’s customer. Thank god she’s going to be on VH1 in 2010.

Hairdresser to the stars, Ken Paves, was clocked in the face with a photographer’s camera while escorting Jessica Simpson out of L.A. restaurant Madeo on Saturday night. The celebrity stylist, who Jessica once called her ’soulmate,’ was promptly rushed to the hospital by their driver after the incident. Jess escorted her mane man inside, where he received nine stitches for a cut above his eyebrow. No police reports have been filed yet, but we’re sure this only adds to the anger brewing in Hollywood over out of control paparazzi. And who can blame the celebs for being fired up?
