A lot of people think Kanye West is a dickhead, but it was girlfriend Amber Rose who showed up at the Chanel Haute-Couture show at Paris Fashion week today wearing a full-body prophylactic. Amber’s “slutty Academy Award” look is only the latest garish ensemble she’s sported in the city of love this week—so far we’ve seen mammoth fur coats, shreds over a skin-tone leotard, frightening feather-fringe jackets and denim hoochie with a fur fannypack. Today at the Yves Saint-Laurent show, the pair didn’t do much better on the fashion front. Former teen screamers who think they’re too old for New Moon—some must exist—might consider a classier (albeit grammatically challenged) pic coming out, Me And Orson Welles. The Richard Linklater (Dazed & Confused) film romantically pairs High School Musical’s Zac Efron with Claire Danes, whose run on My So-Called Life could teach Kristen Stewart a thing or two about teen angst. The pair were in Manhattan to screen the film last night, joined such stars as Danes’ husband Hugh Dancy, Amber Rose and Danes’ fellow ’90s MTV mainstay Courtney Love. The great thing about the internet is that Kanye West doesn’t have to leave the house to blow it up. On Sunday night, the rapper posted Once We Were A Fairytale, a bizarre short film directed by Spike Jonze, on his blog. In the clip, Kanye gets drunk, harasses women, has sex, pukes red confetti and cuts a puppet out of his stomach. The little demon promptly kills itself with a tiny sword handed over by Kanye. Weird. But even weirder is that West has yanked his stream of the clip, though copies remain online, only offering “SORRY I HAD TO TAKE IT DOWN :(” as an explanation.

If that wasn’t enough drama for Mr. Imma Let You Finish, Twitter-sparked rumors of his demise in a car crash spread like wildfire this morning, thoroughly pissing off West’ girlfriend, model Amber Rose (via Twitter, typos hers):

This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much. Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human. and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. U wouldn’t want someone to say that about u. Or someone u love it’s not funny.

Amber quickly got over the offense, though: “I’ll always ride for my man!!!! I’m bout to get off here and still RIDE for him. LITERALLY. Holla!” Woof. Guess  he really is alive and kicking.

Is there such a thing as too much arm candy? Amber Rose and Coco, best known for respectively standing next to Kanye West and Ice-T on red carpets, got rather affectionate at an afterparty for Chris Rock’s Good Hair in NY last night. Sadly, Mr. “I’d Do Anything For A Blonde Dyke” West wasn’t there to enjoy the moment, but stars ranging from Al Sharpton to Adrian Grenier to Ashanti (and a pregnant Padma Lakshmi!) were in attendance for the screening. Think anyone knew about that $5 million lawsuit against the film?

While everyone agrees Kanye West killed it at the Common & Friends benefit concert in Hollywood Saturday, no one can seem to agree on how he was acting backstage. Vibe and blogger Janet Charlton say a manic West showed up minutes before performing, tearing into wait staff about the lack of food in his mouth:

“Why wasn’t I offered chicken? You want me to perform for free, [and] everyone is eating… why am I not eating?”

“You didn’t ask for chicken.”

“I’M ASKING NOW!”

Upon receiving the requested bird, West supposedly took one bite and threw the rest in the trash. While we have no problem believing any star could throw that kind of tantrum (especially Kanye), party-pooper Gossip Cop’s says “there was nothing remotely like this.” Fox News’ Pop Tarts suggests the rapper was “acting nervous,” but too busy thanking people to harass craft services. There is one constant to all these stories, though: Amber Rose stood nearby, silent. Nice to know there’s one thing we can be certain of.
