i thought last night show could of had more about michael than it did…and at the end of the show vh1 should of played gone too soon…that would of been a great ending…other than that the shoe was ok…but not done very well in his honor
They did not honor Michael last night. That was a p…poor attempt at a tribute. Where were the artists doing more of his songs? Where were the constant stream of videos of him doing his concerts? What was all that cursing and crap that they were singing? Ne-Yo forgetting to say anything about Michael when he received his award and then trying to make up for it later. That was so lame. T.I.’s girlfriend, Tiny, calling T.I. the King and not mentioning anything about Michael when T.I. is in prison. BeDON’Tce blandly saying anything about Michael as though she couldn’t open her mouth and the song that she sang was horrible and I felt nothing from it. As someone else already said, Maxwell’s performance and reference to Michael was the absolutely best…Your Beautiful Wings, Michael. The show was casual and amateurish, nothing befitting Michael Jackson, The King of Pop! The best group performance was the O’Jay’s and the guys, Tyrese, Trey, and Johnnie…that was the best, and the O’Jay’s gave very good insight into their connection with Michael. I’m sure some other show will do a better job.
Given the fact that Bet only had a few days to re-do the whole awards show..to honor Michael Jackson…I still say they could of did better. Jamie the comment on MJ belong to african american..no..he belong to his family and was loved by the world. I don’t know what Beyonce’ was thinking and Keri H. was doing more Elvis Presley moves , not Michael J’s..but you still my girl..yes I don’t think they should of given the whole show about Michael cause it was the BET Awards, I just think they could of did a better contribute to him.MTV has more time I hope they are able to make it more loving and respectful for Michael….
I felt like the BET Awards show should have represented Michael Jackson more than they did. I don’t feel like he was represented like an icon should have been represented. He changed the way people outside of the black race thought, and he set the standards for all of the young singers, and rappers of today. I am a very big fan of Michael’s. He was and still is my idol. I love that man. He will always be the very best the world has ever seen and he will never ever be forgotten.
I really wanted to watch the BET awards specifically because it was a Jackson tribute. I was so disgusted with all the rascist comments against white people that I had to turn it over. That is NOT what MJ represented! He sung “Heal the world, make it a BETTER place, for you and for me and the entire human race…” When is it going to be recognised that racism goes both ways!
I think ciara did a marvelous job at the BET awards and honoring Miachel Jackson.I know she was sad because she looked up to him and we all did I feel bad for the people that misjudged him because he did nothing wrong he didnt even hurt anybody.
jammie i hope you read this i think you are the realist i’ve been watching you sence living colors your handsome,funny,talented and your a realist.so good job,keep it up and the people in Hartford,Ct. loves you and make it down here in concert we will love to see you
