Violence does not double your pleasure, nor does it double your fun. Wrigley gum was quick to suspend Chris Brown‘s ads just hours after he bailed himself out after turning himself in to police for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna.
“Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown,” a spokesperson for the company said. “We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen.”
The spokesperson continued to reveal, however, that the company would “suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”
Although there was allegedly no weapon involved in the altercation that took place at 12:30 am Sunday morning, Chris is really bringing out the big guns now, hiring celebrity attorney Mark Geragos, who has defended the likes of convicted murderer Scott Peterson and Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial.
A Grammy representative told the Insider that Rihanna’s face is slightly bruised from a “car accident.”
