If it’s the Paris part of the book, it’s supposed to be 2001. So “retro”? I don’t think so. In the book she wants it to look like”Jean Seberg in A Bout de Souffle” (which this doesn’t), and she hates how it turns out.
Love that book, have girl crush on Anne Hathaway… look forward to this movie! Though no, not thrilled with her “Paris do”.
