Adele, Rihanna, Jessie J Get Cheeky At Brit Awards

We have a theory: Adele and the Brit Awards producers must have known that no one would treat “Adele wins” as a big headline-worthy deal this week, after she swept the Grammys last week. So they purposely cut her off during her acceptance speech, and she flipped them the bird. Yep. That worked! The triumphant songstress’ middle finger livened up her otherwise risk-free appearance, but other stars at last night’s show let their gowns (or lack thereof) do the talking. For her performance, Rihanna switched out her breathtaking, beaded gold gown for a sweatshirt and some boxer brief. Jessie J flashed us her underpants through a gauzy, flamenco-style red gown. And Florence Welch looked a bit like wild animals tried to rip her dress off her — but the look kind of worked on the energetic singer. It was a night when risks paid off, after all.

Rihanna Greets Her London Fans In Fishnets, Sweatshirt Nightgown

Rihanna is on everybody’s lips today over her numerous new collabos with Chris Brown, but we’d rather talk about what’s on Rihanna’s lips instead. And what’s on her head. And what’s on her body. We appreciate RiRi’s continued dedication to not giving a rat’s tiny behind what other people think of her, but she is straight up wearing a gigantic hooded sweatshirt Snuggie and pumps on her way to The BRIT Awards 2012 in London. Did she have the word “Rich” embroidered on the front specifically to remind us why she can get away with wearing this ensemble outside? Maybe Rihanna could care a little bit. Either that, or she should just go for broke and slip into a Forever Lazy. All we need is one celebrity to get on board, and we’ll start wearing ours as a power suit.

Style Seen: Coco Loves Sequins!

Y’all know we love to share pics of scantily clad Coco as much as possible. And Ice-T’s bubbly wife, a self-proclaimed nudist, is clearly proud of her assets. But she’s also a budding fashion designer with a collection of more than 500 pairs of shoes. And as she said on Big Morning Buzz Live last week, her favorite place in the house is her closet. It may come as no surprise that the brunette beauty originally aspired to be a model but found her true talent in acting. Once Ashley was cast as Alice Cullen in the Twilight series back in 2008, we’ve seen those legs everywhere…thankfully. Beyonce And Jay-Z Vs. Jeremy Lin: New Yorkers Face An Important Dilemma

What a confusing night for New York basketball fans! While Knicks fans were anxious to see whether the miracle of Jeremy Lin was just a fluke and how he and Carmelo Anthony would work together, a certain New Jersey Nets co-owner and his wife took their seats courtside and watched their team win. Well, to those of us who are only marginally interested in sports, the appearance of Jay-Z and Beyonce at Madison Square Garden was nothing but a blissful occasion. The new parents looked comfortable and casual — with the exception of Beyonce’s Christian Louboutin-clad feet, which were fabulous and probably not so comfortable. Bey’s face was fresh and youthful, with barely a trace of makeup, highlighted by her simple, half-ponytail. And could those blue nails be her tribute to Blue Ivy, who was ~~in the studio recording her first album~~ at home with the babysitter while mom and dad slipped out for date night? Fashionbombdaily.com pointed out her Brooklyn Bridge ring, from nOIr, which is also pretty cool. Except for those of us who aren’t really so thrilled about that giant monstrosity of a new Nets stadium in our Brooklyn neighborhood … Let’s just look at the pretty shoes again, shall we?

Celebs Spill the Highs and Lows of New York Fashion Week

Gossip Girl here…just kidding! But Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, and Penn Badgley were all over New York Fashion Week showing off their threads and sharing the mania, competition, and definite fashion don’ts with VH1. “There’s lots of music pumping in rooms you can’t get in to and then you find the free bar and you drink free drinks,” Penn revealed. While Penn chased the booze and bass, Ed compared backstage to Charlie and The Chocolate Factory as the rooms seem to get smaller while more and more fashionistas and fashionisters pack themselves in.

Celebs admitted the lengths they go to to pump up the volume in competition with other fashion-forward celebs. Maria Menudos shared the number of make-up and hair changes she endured to maintain her coiffed look. Let me tell you, it’s more than one change. A LOT more! As if the buzzing energy of parties, drinks, music, and new looks don’t keep Lincoln Center jumping, celebs bug out about their personal fashion don’ts that just may be in this season. This Means War: This Is Why Reese, Tom And Chris Look So Good

The ads for This Means War don’t really do it any favors, we know. Yes, it is the silly action-rom-com it appears to be. And yes, it does feature the problematic premise that CIA guys can totally stalk women for fun. And some of Chelsea Handler’s lines are kind of cheesy. BUT they actually make you laugh in the context of the movie. Also, after spending five minutes with Tom Hardy’s character, you will not want him ever, ever to leave the screen again in the entire future of all film. And you will want to have Reese Witherspoon’s life and Chris Pine’s apartment for your very own. Part of the credit for the surprising likability of this McG movie goes to the stars, of course. And another part goes to costume designer Sophie De Rakoff, who’s designed the costumes for a number of Reese’s other movies, including a little one you may have heard of called Legally Blonde.

“Reese doesn’t ask for me, that’s not what she does,” De Rakoff explained to us. “People know that we have a relationship and that we work well together, and she looks good when I work with her, so that if the right movie comes along, then they’ll bring me in.”

Watch Out, Nicki Minaj, We Spy A Barbie Trend!

We all know Nicki Minaj prides herself on her exaggerated style — and we’re not sure which came first, the Barbie nickname or her love of wearing Malibu Barbie pink clothing. So it wasn’t too surprising to see her pink and electic blue ensemble at last night’s MAC Viva Glam event. What was surprising, however, was to see a photo of Michelle Williams in a Christian Dior gown that was a very Barbie (or Barbz, for that matter) shade of pink at the Paris premiere of My Week With Marilyn. Three’s a trend, the saying goes, so we’re counting the news that Mattel is releasing 11-inch dolls modeled after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in April, to celebrate William and Kate’s first anniversary. Now, doesn’t that make it seem like, for one day at least, everyone was feeling a little nostalgic for their tiny plastic Corvette and miniature high heels and that dream house with the elevator that only one Barbie at a time could ride? Oh, and there were horses and dogs too, and a costume for every career in existence. Damn, Barbie had it all, didn’t she?

Taylor Momsen Gives Herself A Marchesa Makeunder For Fashion Week

Taylor Momsen! A nude pump? That shoe doesn’t have nearly enough buckles! Nor is it even made out of Lucite! We don’t know what to think about the former Gossip Girl star’s makeunder, which she debuted at the Marchesa show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Plaza Hotel today. If anything, we though New York Fashion Week would have been the perfect place to show off Taylor’s signature style, a.k.a. shredded t-shirts, an exposed garter belt and a look of utter disgust in humanity. No wonder the Pretty Reckless frontwoman looks like a beautiful dear in a set of fabulous headlights. At least Momen kept her smoky eye. Or…couldn’t figure out how to scrape it off.
