Sadly, the only words in the Italian language that we are familiar with involve pasta dishes and old Dean Martin songs. Still, the language of beauty is universal, as anyone who lays eyes on Romanian supermodel Catrinel Menghia will attest. Menghia and the unassuming Matthew Rocheleau are the stars of this Italian language commercial for the new FIAT 500 Abarth, which has been given the full Pop Up Video treatment for those of us who aren’t fluent in Italian.

Over the last few months, thousands of children have tried out by way of submitting video performances of themselves singing, and now we’re down to the Quaker Chewy Superstar finalists! But only one kid can take the Grand Prize, which is $5,000, a song produced by Nick Jonas, a contract with Nick Jonas Management, and a video aired on national television. You can still vote for your favorite finalist, but hurry up! The voting period closes this Friday, September 9.

UPDATE (5:18 pm): The New York Times is reporting that NBC “will acknowledge the work of Mr. Juzwiak and his co-worker” on the Tonight Show this evening. Does this mean Jay will say the words “TheFABLife” on air? How bad will he slaughter the pronunciation of Rich’s last name? Enquiring minds want to know!

Now we know how Conan O’Brien feels! Do you remember the “Taylor Swift Is Always Surprised!” supercut from last week, the one that our friend and cohort Rich Juzwiak put together for us? Well, not to brag or anything, but it was viewed over 200,000 times last week and caught the attention of quite a few major media outlets, including NBC’s Tonight Show. In fact, Rich traded emails with one of Jay Leno’s cronies about our video last week, as the Tonight Show had intentions of using parts of it during their interview with Taylor Swift that ran last night. Which, to be honest, we were quite excited about!

That is, until we actually saw the interview. Rather than hearing “VH1″ or “TheFABLife” or even Rich’s name on air, Jay Leno instead told Taylor that “We put together a little montage of you being surprised,” failing to acknowledge our contribution in even the tiniest way. Needless to say, we are a bit peeved that Jay Leno stole our idea and didn’t properly credit us, but what can you do? We are hearing rumblings that Jay is going to make up for it during tonight’s show, but we aren’t going to hold our breath.

EXCLUSIVE: Sneak Peek Rihanna’s New Video “Hard”

Rihanna shot her video for “Hard” earlier this month, and we already have our hands on a 30-second sneak peek. Talking to MTV News, Rihanna described the video as “couture-military.” Now we know why. With machine gun in hand, she commands a troop of soldiers while wearing a futuristic white top, black shorts (or are those panties?), and combat boots. Considering the song’s lyrics (“I see you aiming at my pedestal, I betta let ya’ know that I’m so hard”), we’re guessing that Rihanna is firing a warning shot with this video. Potential competitors: Don’t even try!

Not only will “Hard” have its world premiere exclusively on VH1, MTV and The FABlife on Thursday, December 17, at 4PM EST, but Rihanna will also be here to chat with fans. Don’t miss it.
