Lea Michele posed at FOX’s Upfronts last night rocking a lot of looks. The Glee star had a big glossy bun on top of her noggin with heavy bangs just below. She paired her cute, colorful mini dress with deep red lips and black satin pumps. We may have loved Michele’s playful frock on its own, but is there too much happening here? What’s the verdict? Tres chic or too loud?
If there’s one thing Charlie Sheen knows, it’s the art of the deal. Rather than worrying about how Sheen’s upcoming felony trial will affect the success of Two And A Half Men, CBS is celebrating a new contract they signed with the actor, who will receive nearly $2 million per episode for two more seasons of the hit sitcom. ‘To put a fitting end on the 2 1/2 months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights,” Sheen said in a statement. Odd, since we’d date the speculation about his future a little earlier—around when Sheen allegedly pulled a knife on his wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen after a violent, coke-fueled last Christmas.
Sheen, more than capable of shelling out for all the lawyers and estranged wives he’s collected, is allegedly focusing on that trial set for July. Us Magazine says the DA is prepared to drop the felony menacing charge if Sheen serves 45 days in prison on the misdemeanor violence wrap. Though it was the felony charge that reportedly held up earlier negotiations, the actor is now supposedly focused about the ability to smoke in jail. Unfortunately, the prison has been smoke-free for over a decade, with nicotine addicts forced to use patches, as the gum could ruin the carpet. Hey, at least the place is carpeted, Charlemagne! Not every drug-addled philanderer accused of abuse is so lucky.

The Megan Fox PR machine has been relatively quiet lately, but a new interview in Allure where Fox is once again her candid and quippy self is making up for her recent absence on the scene. Fox is famous for swearing, talking about her looks and insecurities and you know, coming off as a normal but super-hot 20-something, and she does all that and more in this interview.
Fox admits to having OCD and a germ phobia, saying “I have an illness. Every time someone uses a bathroom and they flush, all the bacteria is shot into the air.” We’ve heard that too, but we choose the “what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger” path and ignore it. But Fox plants another gross thought in our head when she says she hates eating out and using restaurant silverware. “Putting my mouth where a million other mouths have been, just knowing all the bacteria that you carry in your mouth? Ucch!” [Insert Rachel Uchitel joke here.] Interestingly enough, the girl who hates restaurant forks says she actually can’t cook for herself “I’ll starve to death before I’ll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating,” she said, but that makes us wonder how she manages if she hates restaurants and cooking. Guess boyfriend Brian Austin Green is pulling his weight as her personal chef.

Invictus
A black man becomes president in a country which has suffered under white rule. He’s expected to make sweeping changes to right the imbalance caused by years of racial intolerance. Instead, he urges forgiveness and keeps some of the detested hallmarks of the old regime. How can the president instill hope in a broken people? The answer in director Clint Eastwood‘s award-winning drama is to promote the sporting achievements of South Africa’s rugby team. Mostly white and unloved by the black community, they face a crucial test in the 1995 World Cup. The president, of course, is Nelson Mandela. Morgan Freeman invests him with the necessary dignity and captures the political edge un-dulled by 27 years in prison. After years of voiceovers and second banana roles, it’s great to see him take center stage. Blonde Matt Damon is the captain of the Springboks rugby team, who needs some convincing about Mandela’s reforms. Invictus may lack the stirring musical montages of Rocky IV, but this smart sporting movie is very satisfying entertainment.

Paris and Nicky Hilton helped keep Cannes classy by shaking their moneyspenders at Chopard’s 150th Anniversary Party last night, with Paris grabbing the mic just in case anyone was blissfully unaware they were spending time in her presence (when are we going to see Paris in a skimpy swimsuit? It’s a Cannes tradition!) . Sadly, fellow partygoer Lindsay Lohan wasn’t nearly as outgoing as Paris, keeping her distance from her socialite rival (maybe with LiLo’s next court date so close, she didn’t want to risk throwing a glass). Other celebs at the event included Kate Beckinsale, Marion Cotillard, Eva Herzigova and celebrity better halves David Furnish and Jesus Luz. Soak up the soiree in the gallery below.

With Lindsay Lohan‘s busy schedule of court appearances and late night pratfalls, it’s amazing she has any time to look for love. But according to the New York Post, LiLo has been hooking up with model/photographer Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri, star of Bravo’s upcoming reality series Double Exposure. “We have been spending a lot of time together,” said the 36-year-old. “I have never had a relationship with a woman before, but Lindsay is just somebody who I find fascinating, gorgeous and extremely smart, as well as super-hot.” What a coincidence that their relationship is being revealed a month before Indrani’s show debuts and right after Bravo’s upfronts!
“Indrani is a good influence on Lindsay,” said Indrani’s photography partner/co-star Marcus Klinko. “She is the opposite of a party girl—a Princeton graduate, she’s into art and is a philanthropist—not what you’d expect the typical girl for Lindsay to go out with. When they are together, they talk about art and the deeper meaning in life.” Not sure why Lindsay would throw a glass at Samantha Ronson‘s head in public and keep her serious, more meaningful relationships private, but with Indrani talking her up this loudly in public, LiLo should be sharing red carpet space with her soon—assuming there’s any truth to the story at all.

In our opinion, Michelle Williams can do no wrong. She is our Brooklyn homegirl with a flawless sense of style, and we are swooning over her Cannes appearance for her upcoming film Blue Valentine. Williams and her newly bleached blond crop looked amazing (she and Carey Mulligan might have to duke it out in the battle for most chic pixie hipster), and her red carpet poses with Ryan Gosling, who plays her husband in the film, are killing us. Can they please be the new indie couple that we swoon over? And look at them with their on-screen daughter Faith Wladyka. Most adorable fake family ever.

Forgive us this uncouth comparison, but farting is a lot like celebrity gossip. As in: occasionally, the one who denied it supplied it. (Also see: the one who smelt it, dealt it.) Today, Christina Aguilera is busy denying that she has a problem with Lady Gaga and went so far as to post a statement about her Gaga issues (or lack thereof) on her website. An interview with Out claims she called Gaga a “newcomer” who is “fun to look at,” so Xtina responded today saying:
Dear Fans,
I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.
There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.

We aren’t saying that Christina is just trying to save face here, but if we were doing the glam, blond diva thing and some “newcomer” came along and starting belting out pop tunes and changing hairstyles every day, we’d be a little annoyed and we don’t blame her if maybe she is just a teeny weeny bit irritated by Gaga. Come on Xtina, you can tell us the truth.

Thank U, Gyllenhaal. Thank U, synergy. Thank U, corporate resurgence! Alanis Morissette was on hand for the Prince Of Persia premiere in LA last night, having recorded “I Remain,” the track that plays over the film’s closing credits. “I saw a screening of the movie and immediately felt compelled to write a song within 10 minutes,” she told USA Today. “It wrote itself.” Funny, we just assumed the producers remembered her bombastic City Of Angels track “Uninvited” when they needed something vaguely middle eastern for the credits, but her version seems a lot more flattering. Maybe she can make a whole album based on summer blockbuster video game adaptations! Look forward to her “A World Of Crafted War” in 2011.
An event honoring producer Jerry Bruckheimer coincided with the Persia premiere, giving pec-powered Persia star Jake Gyllenhaal the chance to mingle with action heroes like Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage and Bruce Willis.
