Grammys 2010: In The Nude

Vibrant colors and little black dresses were sparse on the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Though Rihanna and Carrie Underwood shined in bright white, the night was all about shimmery nudes. Katy Perry flaunted a bare back in an Indian-inspired Zac Posen gown, while Beyonce va va voom’d in a hip-hugging zippered dress. Keri Hilson radiated classic beauty in a mermaid-cut Dolce and Gabbana. Heidi Klum looked predictably flawless in a low-cut glittery number. The neutral color scheme could have lead to quite a “meh” night of fashion, but the abundance of curves more than made up for the lack of purples, reds, and blues. [Photos: Getty Images]

Galactic Gaga Hits The Grammys

Lady Gaga never bores on the fashion front. The outrageous pop star du jour showed up to the 2010 Grammy Awards in a custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown, glittery gravity-defying heels, and what appears to be a yellow wig. Rumored to be opening the show with Elton John, we’re dying to see what she’ll wear on stage. We expect nothing less than flames, blood, and alien-inspired leotards.

The party has arrived! Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift can’t hold a candle to the star power of “Jersey Shore” Guidette Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Rihanna Poofs The Pre-Grammy Party

What a difference a year makes. Last year, Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy bash was Rihanna‘s prelude to a horrific night of domestic violence with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. It has since been a year of ups and downs for the stunning pop star, but thankfully she has emerged a stronger woman, and we can now shamelessly shred her fashion choices. So let’s get to it.

Though it’s impossible for RiRi’s face to look anything but gorgeous, it was hidden behind that veil of aqua tulle! The monstrously starched sleeve resembled a sea sponge and completely distracted from her natural beauty. We’re hoping she opts for something more simplistic and flattering at tonight’s main event.

MTV’s “Jersey Shore” graciously exposed a tanned pocket of America that we quickly came to love. It’s a glorious world filled with “gorillas,” “Guidettes,” “poundin’,” and “poofs.” Perhaps the creators of the complex Seaside lexicon can tell us what to call the disaster happening south of cast member JWoww‘s waist. We’re flailing in an uneasy place somewhere between “shants,” “capri pants,” and “pedal pushers.” We won’t even discuss the gaping holes (but seriously – those holes!).

Stars Try To Stay Warm At From Paris With Love Premiere

Last night was a cold one in New York, and it seemed like the bigger the star attending Thursday’s From Paris With Love, the less they were willing to hide it. Star John Travolta and guest Hugh Jackman both posed on the red carpet from under winter coats, while starlets shivered in wait to show off designer dresses (co-star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers split the different in a suit). Among the other guests were Ice-T, Coco, James Lipton, Hairspray‘s Nikki Blonsky and—in the coolest pairing of the night—John Waters and his former Serial Mom, Kathleen Turner. Hey, when’s the musical adaptation of that coming out?

Anne Hathaway Shakes Her Hasty Pudding

Proving she’s come quite a long way since The Princess Diaries, Anne Hathaway was this year’s recipient of the Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award. Hathaway was in Cambridge yesterday to accept the honor, which came complete with a roast at her expense and a parade full of drag queens. Sounds like the best award ever! And from the photos, it looks like Anne had the time of her life accepting it.

The drag queens, dressed like Liza Minelli, Julie Andrews and Hathaway’s Devil Wears Prada co-star Meryl Streep roasted her and mocked her onstage after the parade, and Hathaway later read a rhyming acceptance speech where she told the theater-folk “I feel warm and gooey inside / My rump is swollen with pride/Let us proceed with this day full of cheer /Thank you for making me your Hasty Pudding this year.” If you really love Anne Hathaway, the entire roast and speech can be viewed here.

This Is Kim Kardashian, Untouched. Jealous?

Kim Kardashian always takes a good bikini pic, but these untouched images from a recent photoshoot, which she posted on Twitter, have our envy meter working overtime. Kim looks amazing, which is surely why she dropped the photos on the web for all to see – to taunt us pasty, gym-shy, Double-Stuffed Crust addicts and send us off into the weekend drowning in a sea of body shame.

As if that wasn’t enough, Kim felt the need to add her own commentary. “HOT HOT HOT!” she wrote. “Not even retouched yet!”

We’ll admit that while we’re jealous of Kim’s perfect 10 look, we mostly just admire her confidence. We like a lady who owns it, especially when ‘it’ is curvy, healthy and fit (as opposed to bony, emaciated, and hungry). For all the sexy photos she tweets, there’s normally something about eating junk food to go along with it (“I am tweeting from the plane. I love this! They just gave us 2 die 4 ice cream sundae!”). Nicole Ritchie Still Angry About Eating Disorder Rumors

Though it was a couple years—and two kids—ago that Nicole Richie‘s dramatic weight loss inspired rumors of an eating disorder, the Simple Life star still resents the gossip. “I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t. It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible,” she told UK’s Marie Claire. An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease…I’m, like, five foot one – I’m a small person. When I was heavier, everyone said I was too heavy. You can’t win in the public eye and I find it really hard. So I ignore it now, I really do.”

“The only time it bothered me was when I was in a store trying on shoes and these girls came up to me, they were probably like 13 or 14, and their mother came over, and she said, ‘Are you taking care of yourself, because my girls think that you’re not.’ That was upsetting.” While we can understand the frustration, there are worse things than teenage girls being concerned for your health. That’s the kind of peer pressure more kids could use!
