If this news is true, these two would be our heroes. How amazing a story would it be for two of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, who met and fell in love while filming the biggest blockbuster franchise of the decade to completely leave it all behind just to focus on hippie crap like love and art? This report claims that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart plan to give up Hollywood after they’re finished filming Twilight in order to focus on their brooding, sexy love for each other, and also to focus on every real actor’s true passion: the stage.
An unnamed “insider” says “They are considering changing their lives so they can concentrate on their relationship and get away from stardom. Kristen’s suggested they try theatre work and indie films. Despite starring in big-budget productions, they’ve managed to retain credibility, so theatre is the perfect option.” Hey, we wish them well if this is true, they’ve been through quite a media wringer for the past few years, but somehow…we don’t really buy it. Especially since Rob is currently shooting Water For Elephants with Reese Witherspoon and Kristen’s shooting On The Road, neither of which are indie, low-budget flicks. If they were serious about this, they’d be holed up in their love bungalow doing some role-playing exercises (wink!) to prepare for their new life.

UMMM I agree with the bulk of your sentiment but On The Road is most certainly an indie lower budget film. It is not a studio film, It will certainly get released especially with a Cannes Premiere being talked about but its not a done deal at all.
On the Road is not really an indie. It’s costing $25-30 million to make. It sold in several foreign territories before filming began. There are already American studios that want to distribute it because it is a hyped project. It is almost certainly going to be an Award season contender. Kristen has been acting since she was 10. I doubt she’s going to quit now. She has said she loves acting. I do see her doing stage at some point and I would be happy if she did. I don’t know or care about Robert Pattinsons career so I don’t care if he retires.
Rob & Kristen are both really good actors who are progressing more and more in their acting talent with each new movie they do. It’s true that Kristen does like to do Indie films more than huge hollywood blockbuster films but that is because she really doesn’t care about the money she chooses her movies for what they represent for the story behind it all. Rob of course started acting long after Kristen but not only the Twlilight films but Remember Me have been awesome and I think he could do just about any type of film. The important thing about both Rob & Kristen is that they are very different from most young hollywood actors they are very unique ppl that care more about themselves then the hollywood glamour, they don’t need to follow all the hollywood trends and don’t want to. they love their music and their friends, they don’t give a darn about dressing up all the time trying to show off. They are both shy and don’t like the crowds but just like to spend their down time together without anyone around most the time. I don’t think they would give up their careers at this point in their lives but if they did it would be because of being bagered constantly about what they are doing in their lives and about their relationship and have papparazzi on their butts 24/7 even putting them in dangerous situations. They are young, and I believe very much in love and everyone just needs to leave them alone and let them be happy. They deserve a long happy life together which even with having to separate during times of filming I think they are strong enough to get through, it’s what other ppl do to put wedges between them that could push them apart. I pray for you guys Rob & Kristen and just stay true to yourselves and eachother and just let the rest of the world pass you buy and you’ll be fine.
If it does happen, that would be a great way to make a ultimate love story movie in about 10-15 years. Probably as big at !@^@%~*+~^+*#_! anic the way they are so famous now. Im sure they just cant make the claim and have it happen over night. They will finish up their current roles and find that right time and just take off. That will be a block buster movie in the making if they make it work, and I hope they do. As much as Im in love with Bella and Edward, it would be so cool to see them follow in their steps. You go Kids! Get away from the BS media hound dogs before they ruin you like every other relationship in Hollywood.
