Basketball Wives, VH1′s new docu-drama, premieres this Sunday (April 11) at 10/9c. According to VH1, the series “follows the extraordinary lives of seven women who are best friends and either the wife, ex-wife or girlfriend of an NBA superstar.” But let’s skip ahead to the press release’s juicest nugget:
In order to protect it, they have to deal with the jealousies and dramas of living in — and staying in — the inner circle.

Just want to say; we all have our own destiny in life, some are more “Glamerous” than others, within our destiny there will be lots of things we all have to endure, however i believe if you are honest about who you are and use your belssing to bless others in the end you will not regret anything. Suzie you are in the middle of all this drama, and when the fuel is added to the fire then you just sit back in a corner and smile. I really think that you sent all of those texts or you gave her all of the information or how else would she know. you are the fake one on the show and they need to boot your jealous a** off the show as well as end their friendship with you before they lose everything.
I love the show although I believe some of the lady’s are stuck up trouble makers who are misrable and have nothing better to do with there lives then to make others misrable. They say misery loves company. I think Gloria is sweet, yes she is a little nieve at times but thats her life and her problems and I think the other ladys should mind there own buisness. If her husband is cheating no one has to deal with her situation but her. But don’t ruin her happiness for her she has to find out on her own the same way you guys did. And please stop hating on her for what her sister allegedly did they are sisters not joined at the hip and her sister should be the one you take your problems out on NOT GLORIA. And furthermore thats Shawnies problem not yours. Try seeking God and stop sweeping around others doors without sweeping your own first. One last thing heck no Royce did not win the fight so stop lying to Shawnie to make your girl Royce look like she got hands cause maybe it was the t.v but the fight I saw Royce almost got dealt with. I want to so that I love the show.One of the reason I’m planning on moving to Miami in the near future, and to see it I just get excited. I think the city is so beautiful and has so much to offer. My favorite are Jenn and Evelyn. I’m glad you got that chik told Elev, especially if she the one that behind thosenasty emais. Jenn I hope you and Eric can work it out. I will keep you in my prayers. Follow your mind not your heart. Your heart will say stay but your mind will say go. The heart guides us wrong see you my always have feeling for him in your heart but your mind will tell you leave and that you can’t take the cheaping anymore. I think Gloria needs to reevaluate herself. She got angry because Royce basically said that the dancers and players are adults and should be allowed to date if they please…with which, I totally agree. Is this chick insecure or what?
Next, Gloria’s sister, supposedly slept with their friend, Shaunie’s husband. If that’s true, that was wrong….adultery; however, Gloria’s going to stand with (defend) her sister no matter what-just because she’s blood. I think that Gloria is hypocritical and petty; definitely not a team player! Now again, who’s the immature one here?? Still, best wishes in her upcoming nuptials…
I like the show, but I think it has the wrong name “Basketball Wives”? Only 2 of the women are/were wives, the others never got that far and they are all bitter and miserable because of it. Shaunie is smart she does not get into the drama and she only make appearences, SMART WOMAN.
Jennifer, STOP listening to those bitter “almost wives”, they are haters and want you in the same boat with them, KEEP SWINMMING GIRL, and read the word about marriges, also I saw the episode where Evelyn got drunk, she was ALOT too frienly with your husband. Gloria if you want your relationship to make it STOP hanging with Royce, Suzie and Evelyn.
Royce, I like you, but from now on get information from the horses mouth before you make decisions, the only ones that I see really like you re Shaunie and Jennifer, this group is not for you, remember they already had their own impression you as a dancer.
Suzie and Evelyn, your relationships didn’t make it, I know it’s hard, but don’t be a hater towards Gloria, and Jennifer’s relationships, be REAL friends and IF/WHEN thngs fall apart just be their for them, friends do not encourage friends to cheat (get revenge) on their husbands, nor do they act like you two do.
I viewed this show because I thought “WOW finally women of color, athletics wives/girlfriends, (not that mess of Real Housewives shows). I will finally get to see some classy women”, what a disappointment, some of you show that no matter the life style, amount of money, status, etc. SOME WOMEN are still going to be messy, back stabbing, trouble makers.
I see the show will do another season, how sad, I will not be watching to boast the ratings. With all that is wrong with the iage of women of color in the world and on TV, I hope the next season gets better.
Seriously sisters how long are you going to let Suzie play all of you against each other. Sisters are looking real stupid when it comes to that 2 faced back stabbing bitch. She acts like she is concerned about you Royce, but tells everything you tell her to the others. She totally played Tammi and Meeka in Italy. She is the starter of all that drama. I am sorry she returned. She too weak to handle any drama on her own so she pits ya’ll against each other and sits and watches the drama like she’s upset. If she was upset she would keep her mouth shut when someone tells her something. Wake up!! damn!!
