The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards isn’t known for drama. It’s known for its uncanny tendency to predict Oscar winners. That’s why Adam Lambert and Sarah Silverman presenting an award together at the show might feel like a wolf pack of two casing a herd of fenced-in sheep. Need we remind you that “Good Morning America” recently cut an upcoming Adam Lambert performance after his same sex AMAs kiss? Remember Sarah dissing both Paris Hilton and Hollywood at the MTV Movie Awards? Now we have two of America’s most provocative mainstream personalities on the same stage at the same time talking to a captive group of Hollywood’s elite. And we haven’t even mentioned that Tracy Morgan is also presenting!
Additional higlights of the show: Nick Jonas & The Administration will serve as the Critics’ Choice house band; special tribute will be paid to recently deceased director John Hughes by John Krasinski, Amy Poehler and Death Cab for Cutie, which will perform “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” from “The Breakfast Club”; and Kevin Bacon will be presented with a philanthropic award by no less than Meryl Streep. Additional presenters include Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Emily Blunt, Cedric the Entertainer, Bradley Cooper, Rob Corddry, Abbie Cornish, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Vera Farmiga, Heather Graham, Ed Helms, Samuel L. Jackson, Ken Jeong, Tobey Maguire, Amy Poehler, Craig Robinson, Zoe Saldana and Susan Sarandon.
Hosted by Kristin Chenoweth, Critics’ Choice will air live on VH1 Friday, Jan. 15 at 9:00PM ET. Check back here as we live-blog the show with our partner sites, including AOL’s Moviefone, The Envelope, The Huffington Post, BestWeekEver and fashion experts Refinery29. Yes! As soon as I saw Sarah was also presenting, I was hoping these two would be paired up. Should be very entertaining. Go Adam!
Now if only Kanye and Amy WInehouse could be on…..
LOVE Adam…Not so much Sarah Silverman… but anyone that has nothing nice to say, and cannot express themselves with decency and civility when it’s negative- should NOT be posting anywhere!
decency and Adam Lambert do not belong in the same sentence even when inferred
trash……
I hope Sarah isn’t presenting with Adam , she would sell her mother for a laugh.
Should be interesting.
One has to wonder the career decisions tha Adam Lambert is making. If he has lasting power or not is up to the public. You vote with your wallet, period. I am HAPPY that Kevin Bacon is getting an award, he’s one of my favs and I like The Bacon Brothers. They do a lot of charity work.
James grow up – You should only be as special as Adam Lambert. He is mega talented, intelligent, articulate, and the sweetest person in the industry that I have ever seen. No I don’t personally know him, but the people who work with him and/or those who have interviewed him have nothing but praise for his talent and his persona. If you can just stop with the hating maybe you can learn a thing or two from Adam Lambert. I feel very sorry for you. You don’t have to like his singing or his CD but to spew such hatred and name calling is quite childish.
Lol……a wolfpack of two. Watch out viewers you never know what those two will say or do.
Yo, Kathy Cheney, Lambert does a ton of charity work too. Check out: http://www.donorschoose.org/adam-lambert
OHHH! Cant wait to see Adam. I will happily sit through this entire show just for a glimpse of him!
Always enjoy Adam Lambert. He is so talented and such a sweet guy and always so articulate in interviews. Not so much Silverman and hope she isn’t using Adam for her laughs. Anyway will watch to see Adam even for a couple minutes. This article is just dumb by the way. Adam Lambert has been in our living room over nearly 50 times in 2009 and you are acting like the AMAs was the only time – how mature!!
Ok already, so Adam got carried away in ONE performance…give the guy a break. Unless this becomes a regular routine, I’d quit talking about it……although, bad publicity is better than no publicity to some celebrities….
I just finished watching the videos for Adam’s newest releases, Its time for Miracles, For Your Entertainment and my favorite so far….Whadaya Want from Me? Wow! There are no words to describe the talent in those videos!!! I’m thinking down the road, we may even have a new Movie star
I’m looking forward to seeing Adam. I’ll watch anything he’s on. It’s time to let the AMA performance go. Adam said it was ONE performance and does not represent the kind of person he is in real life. He said he was acting out the song lyrics. But the bashers will never let it go..so bash on, and of course those that are jealous of all the attention he is getting will find something negative to say no matter what. I’m choosing to savour his charisma, talent and star power. 2010 is going to be a fantastic year for him. He’s been named as one of the celebrities to watch in 2010. I’ll definitely be watching, now bring on that tour.!
This is the TV moment of the night that I’m waiting for!!! Adam lone or Adam with somebody doesn’t matter. Only matters is that Adam is on!!
I can’t wait to see Adam. I wonder what he will wear! I wish he was singing tonight!
