When Nancy O’Dell announced Friday that she’d be leaving Access Hollywood after 13 years, her rep stated that “she will continue on with projects as a broadcast entertainment journalist.” But aside from an already-scheduled hosting gig for NBC’s “Tournament of Roses Parade’ on New Year’s Day,” no specifics were available. Until now.
The FABlife has just learned that Nancy O’Dell will host this year’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards red carpet pre-show, to be broadcast live Jan. 15 at 8PM EST on VH1. If it’s true, as People reported, that Nancy felt uncomfortable with Access Hollywood’s “more sensational direction,” then participating in this major awards show should be right up her alley.
Check back on Jan. 15 as we live-blog Critics’ Choice with our sister site VH1 and writers for The New York Times, The L.A. Times, PopEater, The Huffington Post, Best Week Ever and Refinery 29.
