Something’s amiss in the house of Love: Courtney Love has lost legal control of daughter Frances Bean Cobain, her only child with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. According to documents released by TMZ, the 17-year-old is now in the custody of Kurt’s mother Wendy and sister Kim, though the documents containing the details of Love’s removal are sealed.
The Hole singer, who previously lost guardianship of her daughter in 2003 (regained in 2005), has continued to court trouble in recent months, allegedly trashing a hotel room and racking up a six-figure credit card bill—though that hasn’t kept her from hitting the red carpet at four NY movie premieres in the last month or posing in see-through clothes for next month’s issue of Dazed & Confused. Love has yet to comment on the legal filing.
