John Mayer would much rather see ladies love than fight. The New York Daily News reports that the Battle Studies balladeer helped reconnect Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson at the NYC club Butter Monday night. “Lindsay and Sam didn’t arrive together, ” says their source. “Lindsay walked in, and the two said a quick hello, but then Linds went to the table where John was sitting.” Oh, to hear what they discussed.
While Ronson eventually came to their table, she stayed on the far end, away from her upset ex. “[Lindsay] started whispering to John, who looked like he was trying to calm her down. She looked pretty angry. Then John got up and went to talk to Sam.” Mayer brought Ronson back with him, with the former lovers chatting up the night pleasantly. “Lindsay seemed happier than she has in ages,” said the anonymous well-wisher. “Sam eventually got up and deejayed for a while, and Lindsay kept standing up and looking over to the deejay booth, smiling.”
“Lindsay and Sam both stayed past 3. They didn’t leave together, but they definitely ended the night on good terms.” A grateful Lohan called Mayer “Butter-face” on her Twitter later that night, followed by a smiley face. But before we declare Mayer the tabloid Jimmy Carter, note what the cad tweeted late last night. “I’ve got two women texting me they want to come over. What’s that, Modern Warfare 2? You understand me? Done. Night, ladies!!!” Gossip God, if you’re out there, please say this is leading to a threesome.
