Adam Lambert Kinda Apologizes For Simulated Sex

adam-lambert-amas

Adam Lambert’s gay kiss and simulated sextravaganza at the American Music Awards is being talked about as much as that ol’ “Imma Let You Finish” chestnut and Lambert, like Kanye West before him, is starting to repent. Glambert will appear on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” today and he tells Ellen that even his dad was upset by his performance and wanted him to apologize. He went on to say that he knows some people watching felt disrespected and “would never intend to disrespect anybody.”

Lambert adds, “so that was not my intention. . .After seeing one of my favorites, Lady Gaga, tear it apart onstage…I don’t know, something came over me, and I got caught up in  the moment and maybe went a little too far.” See, people? It was in the heat of the moment! Who hasn’t committed a crime of passion onstage in front of millions?

To prevent further momentary lapses in judgment, ABC-TV and their parent company Disney have revealed today that as a result of Lambert’s performance, they are changing their live TV policies and will now require performers to sign contracts that will not allow them to deviate from their rehearsed performances. So say goodbye to wardrobe malfunctions and unscheduled pelvic thrusts, folks. Those days are over.  [Us Magazine/Reuters. Photo: GettyImages]

uhmmm….speaking of wardrobe malfunctions, didnt tv stations say they were already gonna that after the whole janet jackson thing happened? and jeeze if it was a girl who did that it would not have been a problem. it was a pretty adult award show to begin with. and his was the last act AFTER the final award was givin. so i dont see the big deal. he should not apologize at all. britney never apoloqizes so wtf?

  2. Aaron Says:

    That’s not right.
We censor stuff like that for heterosexual stuff and he agrees with whoever arranged this crap to do it? He should have said “no there is a line I will not cross on stage.”
If you are truly gay then f’n present a good image. You just f’ed up your lifestyles image.

  3. Kat Says:

This is unfair. Now, everything is going to be planned an BORING!

  4. Buzzramjet Says:

I like this guy. His music ain’t that bad either, but it’s nice to see someone SHAKE UP rock n roll again. I’m so tired of pop that is run by the censors, attorney’s, Network execs, and a test audience.

Good for him. Hell I’d bet he could front a band like Judas Priest or any other metal rock type no problem.

  5. Gayle Says:

He is just Gross and a little late for an apology he made it clear he was not sorry and no ones baby sitter, he does NOT want to apologize and I feel if you don’t want to then you shouldn’t. I would stand for what I feel no matter what but it doesn’t make me like him.

  6. Debbie Says:

funny, poor Adam didnt act like this on American Idol huh?….must have been ashamed of
his real sexuality, like the majority of “them” should be…they act all innocent and shy to gain points then the real selves come out…lol……he’s disgusting..we can all act politically correct
and say we’re all for it, but what they do behind doors makes me want to puke..he would have never went as far as he did on American Idol if all the little girls that he flirted with knew that he wasnt looking at them…he was looking at their boyfriends

  7. TINA Says:

He went far on American Idol because he does have talent. I for one watched every week just to see what he would do next. I admit I was a little shocked, but isn’t that what he is all about anyway? I personally watched every second of his performance. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the fact that it was done on tv where young eyes could see! I would watch a whole show of his if it was where there was some parental control.
The young man has talent! He has a set of vocals that most wish they had. And he is an entertainer, and isn’t that what we all wanted?
    Keep up the great music!

  8. TEANPA Says:

    Oh and another thing.
He shouldn’t apologize for it, ever.
It’s not his fault that he lives in a world were people are programed to believe that only women can act wanton.
We can thank straight men for that, dogs.

  9. MissNovemberTuesday Says:

I’m not even going to bother trying to get through to Debbie and people like her. She has made up her mind. I just want to say that first of all, it is a rock and roll award show. It does not have a history of “safe” and “tame” performances, NOR SHOULD IT! I agree, I don’t want everything run by corporate censors and lawyers. Granted, I think he may have been a bit too graphic for network TV with the simulated oral sex, but the kiss was nothing shocking. It was certainly WAY hotter than the Madonna/Britney kiss and I didn’t have to suffer a stupid director cutting away to a shot of Justin Timberlake afterward. But I digress.

Teanpa is right. People are far too uptight about certain things that are not considered the puritanical “norm” in this country, and yeah, it CAN be nice to try different things in private. The more open you are to trying a new experience, the more fun you will have in bed and in life. So seriously, people, relax a bit and don’t be so damn judgmental of others for not doing the things YOU find acceptable. Oh, and for the record, I am happily married for 20 years, so I know from experience that a little experimentation keeps things interesting.

  10. Sunshine Pieraldi Says:

That’s good. That’s the way it should be for primetime tv. Adam Lambert went a little bit too far, and he admits that. complain and you get results.

  11. Chloe Says:

TO be honest I have never ever been an adam lambert fan. HE IS AN IDIOT!

  12. Carrie Says:

I can’t understand what the big deal is about what he did. I wasn’t offended by any of it and by the way I’m in my fifties. I have never been homophobic and I raised my daughters to accept all people and I can proudly say they aren’t racist or homophobic. What do you care what someone does in the privacy of their own bed or floor or kitchen counter, lol? It’s none of your business!! I guess I just can’t understand the mentality of people who go psycho over it because it’s never bothered me either way. As far as censoring things go, that’s crazy. This isn’t 1950, it’s almost 2010!! If you don’t like it change the channel, oh and get a life too….

  13. queenrosered Says:

Buzzramjet? “Good for him. Hell I’d bet he could front a band like Judas Priest or any other metal rock type no problem.”<—-your quote.
I give you a mighty high five^5! and a “Hell Yeah!” to that! Adam could front Queen, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, hell, any damn rock group that has ever been! I am also sick and tired of either bland, white-bread, censored, Pat Boone pap that we have been forced to choke down and I certainley am sick to death of rap and hip hop! CRAP! It’s all been crap for almost 2 freakin decades now! Rock was on life support and until Adam came along, I thought we would have to “pull the plug” but he is making “Music Again” and he can shove my face in his Glamcrotch any old day! WOOT! LONG LIVE ROCK!

  14. Count Spatula Says:

ABC-TV and their parent company Disney have revealed today that as a result of Lambert’s performance, they are changing their live TV policies and will now require performers to sign contracts that will not allow them to deviate from their rehearsed performances.
    ————–
Sure… cause what could go wrong in our capitalist paradise if a contract has been signed

  15. BOYPLEASE Says:

COME ON LITTLE KIDS WATCH THIS SHOW ARE YOU SERIOUS. FINE YOUR GAY, WHO CARES. BUT HAVE SOME DECENCY!!! PLEASE!!!

  16. ramichellearian Says:

There is so much stuff out there that shouldnt be paraded around. There are kids out there, and if somone wants to go against morals and condem there own selves, doesnt make it right to influencs young children to your life style.Hes a celbrety and role model now!He needs to be careful.

  17. A Gay Activist Says:

Okay, like… let Adam do Adam. Damn, if he wants to do that, damn it — let ‘em. We let Janet Jackson’s #%~+(#@%&+^^__* ty fly out. We let GaGa make out with girls on stage. We damn sure allowed Kayne’s @`(#^~_~+`$+)@* to get on stage, along with Li’l Mama’s @`(#^~_~+`$+)@* on stage and embrass them damn selves. I mean, I do agree this is to a much higher extend but, jesus. Everyone acts all uppitty about it, I mean … yeah, its explicit.. but personally, I think it forces some people to “go to that level” causing them to see it for what it is. Or rather, view things in a nother perspective.. ;3 Thanks for the straight men who tend to be homophobic and their dogmatic views on homosexuals — it wouldn’t have been as bad, really.

  18. Chandra Lee Says:

I agree with the above comment. To the Racheal user, who cares if there is children around. You are allowed to parade your heterosexual views out in the general public, so why should homosexual views be restricted. I say, if you are going to say: “There are children around” — than you should limit heterosexual romanticism and sexuality as well. With that being said, a man and a woman making out and/or kissing should be restricted. And so on and so forth, don’t be a hypocrit about it. Pfft — children around, yeah right. Everyone needs to have their own personal experience through viewing other lifestyles or else, they’ll be narrow-minded and ignorant to another lifestyle. Allow them to form their own ideas and their own opinions of the matter….

  19. Mane Says:

For those who think it shouldn’t be censored. What do you get out of watching a man put his mouth on another man’s crotch? That’s freakish.

  20. tammy rasband Says:

yea, i think he should apologize because that was his 1st non american idol performance, and dont get it twisted because i am afan, but he was not even established yet. Unlike when Madonna or any other famous singer simulated a sex act on stage. He therefore only had an american idol fan club. I dont think it will break his carrer but i do think it was too much too soon.

  21. Michelle Says:

um, hello, Adam SHOULD apologize. It’s not like he is this popular artist that has been around for years and years…..he’s just STARTING out! He should stop being so )$&*(!@!+#__!%(+ y and get off his high horse……and to top it off he can’t sing but he knows how to scream really well. I could care less if he is gay or straight…I’m sick to death of his “holier than thou” attitude!

  22. Peggy Says:

I love Adam Lamberts voice and he has great talent….He has made 2 beautiful video’s and what say Lady GaGa laying on a bed in her video and might as well be naked…she is the gross one, at least Adam had clothes on…….I just hope he keeps it cool and keeps up his classy look……..

  23. Anna620 Says:

I bet if Adam pushed a woman’s face in his crotch everyone would have been ok with it. I’ve seen female singers with men’s faces in their crotches, but no one gets mad at them..why not?
Don’t we live in a time of equality? If we do…I’m not seeing it. Adam is a wonderful man with a great voice, that’s all that should matter here. Please don’t start pulling him off the air…like on VH1 TOP 20, he is a great artist and definitely a singer I want to be Entertained by. Put him back on, I listen to his CD each and every day and so do my friends, Hell, I even got my son to become a fan!! He thinks Adam’s CD is great!! I’m in my 40’s and I’m pretty open-minded…too bad others can’t be, what a sad way to live.

  24. robin Says:

apparently abc and disney havent kept up on their soap opera one life to live because on friday’s show the last 20 minutes was all 2 young males naked from the waist up french kissing all over each other and ended with them spooning each other lolol ARE YOU SERIOUS PPL this was 3pm can u imangine all the children seeing this where is the press on this one? why did they allow this? adams performance was awesome and his few bad things were nothing in compare to ONE LIFE TO LIVE love nest WTF you hypacrites
