What Is The “Family Matter” That Shut Down Courteney Cox’s Show?

Courteney Cox has a smart publicist, who wisely let is slip yesterday - while the whole world was talking about New Moon ticket sales and the American Music Awards - that Courteney has halted production on her hit show “Cougar Town” so that she can attend to some secret, personal problem. “We can confirm production on “Cougar Town” has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter,” said an ABC rep.
TV insiders tell us that it’s pretty rare to completely stop production, and the network incures a huge cost for doing so. Which leaves us wondering - what could be going on in Courteney’s life that’s so awul she’d have to completely stop her popular sitcom to deal with it? Your guess is as good as ours - try ‘em out for size in the comments below.
Psst - According to E! Online, production will resume next week. Mysterious!

I bet it’s the dreaded “D” that ’s ever so popular in Hollywood. Surprised her and David lasted as long as they did. At least her and Jennifer can hang out now.

Maybe some one passed away… Mom… Dad? I think its wonderful that the network is respecting her personal space. How ya gonna work with someone who’s a wreck anyway?

Maybe she is pregnant and was put on full bed rest for the duration. No matter what, I wish her and her family well.
