Lindsay Lohan appears to have a black cloud over her lately. First, her father released tapes of private phone conversations which revealed troubling details about the actress’ erratic behavior. Now she may lose her “creative advisor” position at Emanuel Ungaro. In October, Lindsay debuted her collection at Paris Fashion week, which was readily panned by critics, who said the nipple-bearing designs and pink pasties she put on the models were “cheesy and dated…an embarrasment.”
Emanuel Ungaro’s chairman Asim Abdullah reportedly wants to rid the fashion label of the troubled starlet, and is in a bitter email war with CEO Mounir Moufarrige over trying to get rid of her. Mounir, who hired Lindsay as a way to put an “electric shock” into the label, is trying to save face by keeping her, but Asim reportedly really wants her gone. A source says, “Department stores in the States have already told him they won’t be picking up the line if Lohan remains a collaborator, so its a serious issue.”
Emanuel Ungaro himself echoed the critics negative reaction to her collection. “I am furious, but I can’t do anything about it,” Emanuel, who left the fashion house in 2005, said. We can’t blame her for her father putting out the tapes, but she did put heart pasties on her models, she kind of deserves the harsh comments and possibly to be fired. Oh. I thought she was immediately fired right after the show.
