David Letterman Apologizes To Wife, Staff On Air
After a long weekend of media hubbub following David Letterman’s revelation of an extortion attempt against him due to affairs with female staff members, David Letterman returned to the Late Show Monday night with a handful of apologies and moments of righteous indignation. Along with acknowledging his crimes against wife Regina Lasko (”my wife has been horribly hurt by my behavior…and if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it…let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me”), he expressed his regret to his current staff for any media innuendo and humiliation following his confession last Thursday (”My thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in”).
But Letterman has made clear that, despite his penitence, he’s glad to have brought up the extortion attempt on air. “You can’t be victimized by criminals, so you have to go ahead and push back…through all of the heartache, and the attention and embarrassment, I still feel like I did the right thing.” And since Letterman isn’t officially a CBS employee, he probably doesn’t have to worry about them investigating his “Supervisor/Subordinate Relationships” now—of which there may have been more than a few. Will he have more to confess tonight?

I’m not sure why all the news outlets have been reporting that he apologized to his wife - no he didn’t! guess what the AP says is fit to print without any verification. Watch it again, he only apologizes to his staff. I love Dave, and think his approach on this has been pure genius professionally, but I have lost a bit of respect for him as a person.

Well, I’m sad to hear this, I know we are all human and make BIG mistakes. I don’t believe in blackmail, so good for him coming clean to his wife. I just hope he’s learned his lesson, and
remembers his son will grow one day and read about all this. Money doesn’t buy everything.
I think he’s a great entertainer, and I always put him in a special class of entertainer, but now he’s down there on that list of cheaters, can’t change that. Wonder what his Mom thinks???
Hang in there Regina. Dave, learn your lesson man, a TOP TEN of Dave’s affairs??? Nah

the weapon that belongs to my family that has you confessing please let our hearts go. to iraq and korea they have put so many of us in jail that the american gov was able to take hawaii and other countries. it is still a clean weapon so the wheather is bad a bomb is not the answer the wheather means that you can get the right people we who own that ARE PROTECTED so you can take your time find who it is exsactly. a simon or a jones that caused the storm that killed your family. we are safe but they feel we are not.this is weird to write but the church is not the only place to talk spirtually that was stolen also! we my native american family were jailed to often and the gov gained control of that WEAPON. they can let go at anytime it is clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY CAN LET GO AT ANYTIME IT IS SAFE!

Mr.Letterman i look at your show sometime but let me tell you this you first have to love yourself first before you can love anyone else. See, embarrassment is apart of you it just caught up with you because you a person that think with your head and your d–k and not your heart. You have a son and your wife is the one that gave him life so to get respect you have to give respect and specailly the lady that had your child that you r old ++)`@&+`$*#$)`& needed and anyway all ++)`@&+`$*#$)`& is not good ++)`@&+`$*#$)`& look at you now the whole world now see how big of a ++)`@&+`$*#$)`& you are and can be for you have notting on Oprah. he has helped so much depression and misery that we just stay around. hugh hefner is a okay guy too. he does not move around to much but i swear i can see him back ground for lady gaga papparazzi. a man of his word helping the community.i like contracts like this and my agent rihanna.

Why would any OTHER female be interested in such an old, boring looking man is beyond me.
His wife should make sure she re-claims her life and move on minus Super-Boy. He is worth absolutely zilch both in the looks and integrity departments.

i have never played anyone i am sort of like took the world hostage but then was taken hostage for everyones safty. then the money game why can’t these big names spend there money in america black people in africa? i was a child and we did sparkle first. i got peoples trust and took everyday honestly and truthfully. some of the big names gave me smaller ones like britany and justine to get this money off the groung.THEY WERE GIVEN TO ME TO WORK WITH AFTER DISNEY FAILED TO MOVE THE MONEY. i have not touched them or thought about them in anyway to drive them crazy.
