The president is disappointed in you, Kanye. At least, off the record he is. President Obama had an informal chat with a CNBC reporter yesterday and when he was asked about the VMA controversy he explained that he thought Kanye West was a “jackass”. Of course no one in their right mind would report that the president said something like that especially when it’s off the record, but ABC reporter Terry Moran heard the news feed and Twittered about it. The Tweet read “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.” Whither thy journalistic integrity, Terry - using Twitter and sarcasm in one swoop?
The post was quickly taken down and ABC issued an apology for prematurely reporting the quote. We actually think the president’s views on pop culture should be more transparent, it makes him more human. Forget healthcare, what does he think of Lady Gaga? [Photo: Getty Images]

Mr President for the life of me I cant understand why you of all people would commment on somethig so trivil as the vmas when the country is in such a mess. Poor people are gettin poorer. And sick people are getting sicker.For you to say that Kanye is a jackass for speakin his mind on a show that is really worthless. Where a Bounch of wanna bes get togeather and give each other praise for something thats not helping this country from the mess its in is a shock to me.To me a REAL MAN wouldnt even have any thing to say about this useless unnecessary part of our society.I am just one person who realize that its not that serious. LADYDOLL i dont know why ur mad about the comment made by President Obama. The article clearly said he was having a casual conversation with a reporter. He’s allowed to have a break every once in awhile because the truth of he matter is he is doing his job. Just because he made that comment doesn’t mean he isn’t doing his job. Are u saying that when u come home from work or where ever, u talk about work still?? Give the man a break, he’s human therefore he can have small talk if he wants to.
