Everyone else has spoken out about Kanye-gate, so it’s about time we heard from the girl at the center of all the VMA drama. Taylor Swift sounded kind of deflated when speaking to reporters about being upstaged by Kanye West during her Best Female Video acceptance speech, for good reason.
“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award,” Swift said. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.” So sad! Unlike so many of her celebrity fans (i.e. Kelly Clarkson and Pink) who were royally pissed off by West, Swift remained diplomatic, explaining “I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him, so…I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”
She also gave a shout out to Beyonce who invited Swift back on stage at the end of the show. “They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn’t really know what was going to go down, but I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she’s always done. She’s always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she’s always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn’t love Beyonce more tonight.” Amen to that, these ladies know how to keep it classy. - After that she will go to Milan, Italy, for shoes shopping.
- Then she will drop by Paris, France for dinner.
- When she comes back home, she will find her bank account is fatter (just like you).
So, while you are feeling so very sorry for Sweet Taylor and embracing her by buying more of her records and making her richer, your daddy is going to lose his job and you will find yourself without health insurance.
