For all those people who didn’t think a Sex and the City movie sequel was necessary, there are the mobs of fans that exist to offer up a dissenting opinion. In fact, the fans who have been crashing the set of the movie, currently filming in Manhattan, have gotten so numerous that extra security detail had to be added to the film set to ward them off.
One witness to the madness said of the added bodyguards “They looked more like they were protecting the President than Sarah Jessica Parker.” Apparently though, the security was a bit too rough with the onlookers and both SJP and co-star Chris Noth asked them to take it easy on the fans. Could the SATC set be our generation’s Altamont, the famed 1969 concert where the Hells Angels served as security and killed a fan? It wouldn’t surprise us — people are crazy for Carrie. I am a woman and I absolutely hate that show. Horrid message–I think women can be strong and independent without treating men like emotionless pets and accessories…
i saw the first movie it was great carrie and the girls were fantastic waiting to see the sequel.
I never watched the show when it first came out, and then got to watching the episodes when I got HBO, and really got into each character. Having lived in Sin City when I was single at those same ages, I could relate to a lot of it. I didn’t live that way, but the writers and editors and acting was so good, I felt like I knew them. They put the shows together rather amazing, and it’s not as bad as the daytime soaps, with worse stories than just going to bed with different guys all the time, or falling for one, and yet, who can’t relate to that stuff if they are females who are normal? The ones with kids yet, will play like they are above that crap, but that is all put-on as far as I’m concerned. I’ve lived to see most of it. Maybe my own mother was above that…but no one else I ever knew. lol
I’d like to find where I can buy all the series, or my favorite ones. The MOVIE was good, but
as I couldn’t agree with what happened at the wedding, it is merely my opinion. It was still good, as was the end. I know it’s a movie, and I know they are good actors, and I love it.
I’m looking forward to the Sequel. I’ve watched so many of the shows, I feel like I know them. I don’t have much of a life at 69 and alone, so this keeps me entertained. The perfect housewives hate it, but I look forward to the shows, and watch them over and over…Can’t get enough. All of the girls play on it together. Not just (Carrie)…We need them all…They are great!
