“So You Think You Can Dance” choreographer Alex Da Silva, pictured on the right, has been arrested for a second time on charges related to eight counts of sexual assault and rape. The arrest took place at his home in North Hollywood Tuesday morning. Four victims allege that at various times between 2002 and 2009, after meeting Da Silva in a dance classes he taught, they were assaulted. Da Silva was originally arrested in April for the crimes, but prosecutors required more evidence, which they now apparently have.
Back in April, Da Silva’s lawyer gave an extremely unsettling public statement that claims the case was a misunderstanding of, “the difference between seduction and rape.” While we certainly don’t have all the facts, that line of defense seems kinda shady. If convicted, Da Silva could face up to life in prison. [Photo: WENN]
