Marilyn Manson Makes Threats Via MySpace

There was a time when, for about five minutes while we sat through Bowling For Columbine, we held Marilyn Manson in high regard. He seemed like a thoughtful person, reasonable in spite of his scary face paint. The past few years have been harsher though on Manson - ex-wife Dita von Teese has called him out for his drug use and he seems increasingly unhinged. Now, a recent interview though in L.A. Weekly has really set Manson off.
The interview was with Travis Keller of Buddyhead.com, who spent time with Manson in 2007. Keller describes Manson - who was dressed in a Von Dutch hat, sans makeup - at the time of their meeting saying, “I was like, ‘You’re Marilyn Manson?’ I remember thinking he’s going to come out with some kind of cape on. I’d never met him before and thought he’d be hanging out in a coffin. He’s nothing like that.” He also made reference to Manson’s girlfriend at the time, Evan Rachel Wood, saying, “They called her ‘Snowflake’ because I guess when they played shows, she’d hold all the coke.”
Manson got his gimp-suit in a bunch over these remarks and took to his MySpace page, writing, “If we need a nude photo of me to prove that I am far different than the soon-to-be-murdered-in-their-home press has decided to fabricate, that is easy. But if one more “journalist” makes a cavalier statement about me and my band, I will personally or with my fans help, greet them at their home and discover just how much they believe in their freedom of speech. . .That is a threat.” Threats on MySpace! Does that violate the terms of use?
By the way, Manson’s current mood is “amused” and he totally took Travis Keller out of his Top 8. [Photo: GettyImages]

I thought that if u threaten someone or if u make multipal accouns or hack into someones myspace that it is violate its terms i guess not i wrote to myspace on a few occastions about a different story and they completely exnored me so maybe myspace is as worse as craigslist letting hundreds of ppl use other famos ppls names to lure children into thier myspace and things like that i think myspcae needs a check out or two forreal because they exnore emails and nude photos and everything…… they need to stop letting ppl make profiles and take to kids and stuff iv myself seen hundreds of profiles of john cena britney spears and list goes on….

“Oh good gravy” is right! I totally agree with what Samantha said….Besides, I think what the reporter wrote wasn’t even that bad! MM probably just read it while in a bad mood or something, and decided to vent about it……..

People need to leave Manson alone. I have loved him for years…respect him…and to those who dont have an open mind-just please dont say anything at all. People do not know how to handle anything shocking, or handle change. It is 2009. Seriously. Love you always MM, Amanda D

Manson has to be the strangest thing in entertainment since it began. I have yet to understand any of his lyrics nuch less know what the message he is sending out. Pure eveil is what me and all of my band members as well as all of the Metal fans I know all the way out in Los Angeles ( Hollywood) and back here in North Carolina either. No I am no Redneck hillbilly. I am an Audio Engineer and Producer since 1989.I played drums in a Rock bad beginning at the early age of 12 until 19 when I took off to the West Coast in 1985 to better my skills in the Business side of Music. While in Hollywood I played in a band as well and we played the Hollywood strip and never once heard a positive word said about Mr. Manson.

Have you read the whole article about this? LA Weekly’s “journalist” came off as a douche. I’ve never seen journalism reach so low.
