Seems the incident where police were called to Mischa Barton‘s home yesterday was more serious than a bit of tooth-ache. The former O.C. star, who’s been noted for her dazed, bedraggled appearance recently, is under involuntary psychiatric hold at L.A.’s Cedar-Sinai hospital. “Mischa has been hospitalized per the recommendation of her doctor and is resting in the hospital,” her rep told People.
Mischa called the police at 3pm Wednesday for help with a “medical issue” and was then escorted to hospital. She is thought to be held under a 5150 code, the order under which Britney Spears was placed in 2008. Mischa missed the premiere of her latest movie The Homecoming due to her hospitalization.
