Michael Jackson was a wonderful human being, and that is how I will always remember him. Michael knew what love was . I am sad for me , his family and his fans…but it is in his dying that he is now truly living…with Jesus. Michael is now doing his moonwalk in heaven…How happy he must be ! God bless you Michael and may you rest in heavenly peace.

  • wendy says:

God and his angels are learning how to do the moonwalk.
RIP Michael. We love you, miss and will NEVER forget you!!!!

  • As I sit here watching Michael’s Memorial yet again, there is still a part of me who is waiting for Hollywood to reveal that this was just a BIG HOAX..a Publicity stunt gone too far . That Michael is alive and preparing to start his “Ressurrection Tour”.! I so wanted this to be true…but now I am with faced with the reality that Michael has “returned” home: back to the true “Neverland”… Nevermore to walk this earth, nevermore to don his infamous glove, and nevermore to grace the stage. Thanks Michael for the music and the love…and save me a seat for your “Heaven Tour”.. Ulanda

I remeber as a child, i would watch Michael’s video’s and run around the house singing his songs, and trying to dance like he did. I still can’t grasp the thought of him not being able to dance across any stage ever again! I have cried everyday & watched every show that has reflected on him. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE YOU!!!! YOU WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL!!!!!

  • I don’t even have words for how GREAT Michael’s memorial was. It was so well put together and it was so heart felt. It reminded everyone that besides Michael being an icon and the greatest to ever do it, he was HUMAN. To see his family, friends and all his fans from all over the world come together for a spectacular memorial was breath-taking! His family brought tears to my eyes, as well as all the speeches and performances. But usher’s “Gone Too Soon” performance really got me. When he came off that stage and touched Michael’s casket OMG i started crying so hard! Not to metion when his daughter and brother Marlon spoke. I have so much love for Michael’s mother Katherine. I recorded the memorial so I can have it always. Michael is the greatest entertainer to ever live. There will never be another Michael and the world knows it! MICHAEL R.I.P AND LOOK OVER ALL OF US! WE LOVE YOU AND YOU WILL NEVVVERRRR BE FORGOTTEN. SO SAD! =’[

All I could believe is that he is the greatest star that has ever been and will live on within all of us.

I Remember every Thanks giving at my grandmothers house, while every one is eating My grand would put the”Billie jean” song on and ask me to dance. I would put on my red leather(micheal) jacket i got for christmas when” Billie jean” came out and get on a little table and mimic the moo walk and end with a Micheal Jackson crouch grab. Oh boy how much will I miss him!

  • True Fan says:

It is truly sad that Michael could not be alive to hear all the beautiful things said about him. I hope we all start to recognize true humanitarians of the world more often. Thank you Michael for allowing us to watch you despite all adversity. My wish is that we will all learn from you and our mistakes we made as your fans!

  • Debbie says:

Although the legend will live on as other icons before him, He can now find peace. Run through the fields Michael, sing with the heavenly hosts, be the boy that never was! No more pain, no more worries, no more sleepless nights, and never again will you fear retribution from any man! Sleep well our friend!
    Dreams of boyhood shattered
yet on golden wing he soared
    beaten down and battered
he stood up for the world he adored
    Blind to any color
How brightly his eyes did shine
    mercy beyond compasion
    heavenly Father
    he is thine

  • MJ Fan says:

Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer of all times! I could not stop crying during this wonderful memorial service.

This artist has gone too soon that it hurts that he will not make anymore signature music. No other person can imitate such a great persona! He gave so intimately to his fans that we cannot forget. When I listen to my favorite MJ song “Who is it?” I feel the pain because he sings it as though it was just for you, It’s so personal with him because he truly lived for his fans and gave it all.
    RIP.

  • Jazzzy says:

you, I love you Michael Jackson and Family, my prayers are with you.

  • Stevency says:

Dancing made a significant difference in my life. I was not a fan of music or even dancing until I started watching MJ’s videos. The loss of MJ is a reality that still has not settled in. It is going to be extremely difficult to go through the next few years knowing that there will not be another MJ hit coming.

Michael Jackson and the Off the Wall album helped me and my classmates in the graduating class of 1980 dance our way to our degrees at Alabama State University. Everytime I hear a song from that album I think of my friends and the hours and hours of fun we had dancing and singing. He truly was God-sent to the HUMAN RACE.

  • Candace says:

michael jackson was such an idol to us all, his music inspired us, his dance moves made us want to get up and dance, and despite all the ridicule and mockery, he still lives on in all of our minds, and will for a very long time. last year, when i was twelve, my grandmother got the 25th anniversary edition thriller cd and that was all i would listen to last summer in my grandmothers car. i remember just sitting in the hot car for hours listening to michael’s music. he is amazing, and has amazing talent. i aspire to be as successful as you, michael, and may you rest in peace.

I have to say that my fondest memory of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 was when they came to Memphis, TN and performed on top of the old WoolWorth’s building before a packed parking lot of screaming kids and adults. Thank you Michael for the memories.

  • Mark says:

Elton Johns’ Curtains seems to sum up this tragedy

I used to know this old scarecrow
He was my song, my joy and sorrow
    Cast alone between the furrows
Of a field no longer sown by anyone

    I held a dandelion
That said the time had come
    To leave upon the wind
    Not to return
When summer burned the earth again

    Cultivate the freshest flower
    This garden ever grew
    Beneath these branches
I once wrote such childish words for you

    But that’s okay
There’s treasure children always seek to find
    And just like us
    You must have had
    A once upon a time

  • Karen says:

  • Jessica Valencia says:

I remember my older sister telling me that my brother used to write his name as “Dino Jackson” on his notebook and he would wear the one white glove in school. This is back in the 1970′s in Ecuador and I wasn’t born yet. This goes to show how his music touched everyone, regardless of race, color and their location in the world since my home country is a 3rd world country. Growing up in the US, my baby sister and I would listen to Michael’s Dangerous album (which I had on cassette) at full volume, which drove our mother crazy. I remember where I was at the exact moment Hot. 97′s Angie Martinez announced on the radio that MJ had passed.
MJ was not only the King of Pop, a LEGEND or an ICON. His meaning and music I can not begin to describe at all because no words describe who Michael is. He is and will still be the GREATEST MUSICIAN of all time. Thank you Michael for the music, energy and dance moves you’ve blessed us all with. I will always be grateful to have someone as inspiring as him.

Michael Jackson was an artist true to the art and true to himself. His life did make a difference in this torn world, thru his music and his charity to others without ever expecting any kind of reward, except the smiles on the faces of the ones he help in one way or another. I have heard the word race several times during his funeral….race?? I am a 55 year old white women, I too grew up listening to MJ’s music, and I never gave race a second thought. He was a man/child making people happy with his gift of music. As he grew older he gave from the heart to help heal and make the world a better place by bringing people together to see the problems that needed to be solved. Race??? Michael Jackson was a man with a great talent and a child-like love for mankind that felt he could and did make a difference in this world. What a kind heart he had, what empathy, and sympathy he had for his fellow man.
God Bless you, and may CHRIST take you hand and lead you to our FATHER’S house and keep you by his side forever.

Say, say, say what you want. Michael Jackson was heaven sent for such a time as this. Despite how the media tried their hardest to bring him down, Michael stood tall. Michael used every bit of his being to touch the world. His gifts made room for him to set records never to be broken. Michael Jackson, losing you is like “TORTURE, and makes me wanna “SCREAM.” It is only “HUMAN NATURE” to mourn someone you love and his impacted your life. Michael Jackson “ROCKED MY WORLD” with his beautiful smile, humble manner and loving eyes. “CAN YOU FEEL IT?” There are people hating on the fact that Michael is getting too much publicity (which is long over due if you ask me)and we have gone over board, but give honor to whom honor is due. I’ve always said if I had the blessed opportunity to meet Michael Jackson, the one thing I would ask him, would be, can I pray with you. Michael has done more than sing and dance, he has served. He gave. Michael Jackson is “INVINCIBLE.” Michael Jackson is a once in a lifetime experience. Michael Jackson is an anomaly. Michael Jackson is an irreplaceable spirit, “GONE TOO SOON.” Michael left an essence that circulates world wide. His voice, his moves, his presence and his powerful spirit has memorized the universe and spoke loud and clear. I love you Michael Jackson Forever. YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

1983 communist Czechoslovakia, in Ostrava, a controlled, oppressed, and forgotten city deep behind the Iron Curtain, I was an American teenager visiting relatives. To my great surprise, those Czechoslovak teens I met knew more about MJ (and his Moonwalk) then I did! No barricades, boundaries, or boarders could stop his music. I hold enormous respect for him, and firmly believe he would never hurt a fly, or had selfish thoughts in his head, and is innocent in so many ways.

The world has lost the best entertainer by far. It is sad that today all you hear about artists singing and rapping about is sex, cheating, stealing, killing, drugs, and so forth with curse words. Since when did all that make good music? Michael Jackson had none of those things in his songs. His music will be played forever. It breaks my heart to know he has passed. I would like to challenge artists out there to make one album that lacks what makes music popular these days and let’s see what happens. . . be The Man In The Mirror. Make a change.

  • Terri says:

    Dear Michael,

Ever since I can remember, I have loved to write. Stories, poems, even really bad songs I wouldve never shown to someone as talented as you. I didnt even care if I was that good back at the beginning, I would just let the words come and say what they wanted.

I was a shy, skinny little girl with glasses, with no friends, scribbling in my notebook, making up characters that would be great friends to me. And in my stories I was strong, tough, and powerful, everything I wasnt in real life.

I watched TV and tried to search out interesting people that caught my eye. No one really appealed much to meuntil I watched Motown 25, the anniversary special.

    I was simplyblown away.

I knew of Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five before I watched the special but this Michael Jackson was not what I remembered. I loved the sparkles, I loved the song, I loved the voiceand my God, the dancing! I was trapped within Michael Jacksons spelland would be from that moment on.

I was thirteen years old. And I was head over heels in love with Michael Jackson.

I knew instantly that he was too old for me, he was in his twenties at the time. And he was so alive, so talentedso beautiful, free and raw and magical. He defied gravity. He was worlds out of my league. But I loved him anyway.

The more I learned about Michael, the more I saw of him in interviews and in magazines, the more enchanted I became. He had the talent and couldve been arrogant and !%!`#+`@@!#+#$** y as hell if he wanted to be, he couldve gotten away with being a diva.

But he was anything but. He was kind, quiet, painfully shy, considerate, and kept to himself. I think I saw myself in him even more when I saw the reporters and tabloids start to go to work on him. I believe cruel kids in high school grow up to be tabloid reporters.

He seemed to know about loneliness, too, and understood the pain of going through adolescence and not always being the pretty one. In time, I dreamt of meeting him and it was nice that he was sweet in that dream instead of being distant and mean.

My father, usually a very good man and caring, did not understand my new found fascination with Michael. He came from a different time, when black and white was always separated, never to mix. I had about six posters of Michael on my bedroom wall. One day I came home from school and they were all shredded off the wall, the tattered corners all that remained.

Even then, in my rage and hurt, I tried to do what Michael always taught. Love for familyand forgiveness in the face of cruelty. Michael had faced such attacks on himself daily. This was my first. I tried to see things from my fathers point of view and we talked it out for hours until we were hugging each other and crying.

Needless to say, the next day I had 30 posters of Michael Jackson on my wall. And I knew theyd never be torn down again. And even if they were, it was not going to erase Michaels smile from my heart, or take the sound of his songs from my ears, or delete the images of his dance from my mind. I can still see every dance moveevery subtle little bop of his head, every perfect jolt of his leg, the point of his fingerhe was like a rock angel.

I could and have watched him movefor hours and hours. No one ever came close to him in my eyes. No one ever could.

When my father died suddenly, and tragically, Michael Jackson was there. I cried in the dark while his music flowed through me through my walkman earphonesit was almost like he was right there, crying with me, healing me or trying his best to with his beautiful words and loving thoughts. I felt like he was pulling me out of deep waters with that voice, challenging me to go onand not wither and drownto surviveand grow strongernot to forgetbut to remember with love and make my father proud, which was one of those songs I rewound over and over again that night.

When I got married and had my first baby girl, Michael Jackson was there. How could I not pass on the most beautiful music Id ever heard with my daughter?

The first song I ever sang to her was Ill Be There.

It wasnt long before the two of us were sitting on the floor side by side watching Michael Jackson together on MTV, clapping, both huge fans of the gloved one.

The years seemed to fly by for all of us, now two daughters where once there was just one. We sang and laughed and dancedand even cried right along with you, Michael. There were some very sad times and hurtful moments when I feared they had hurt you too deeply, that I wished I couldve been there for you when you needed a friend. In spirit, I have never left your side.

I would never believe anything horrible about you and never considered the possibility that you couldve ever harmed a child, in the least. I still dont.

I have never been embarrassed or ashamed to be your fan and I never will be. It still bothers me when I hear the mocking cruelty of the jokes they hurl at you. I take it personally, too, when I see the insensitivity of the mediathe jealousy they have because they dont have your heart or soul.

As for me, I still write. I like to think Im a little better than I was when I first began. Im still shy, quiet, and skinny with glasses. I learned from you. Dont pretend to be something else or try and change what you are, embrace it, be yourself and be proud and you will be loved. I learned that from you. Be better, be good, look in the mirror and try to improve your goodness even more. I learned that from you. Its okay to be a little weird and different. Actually, be more unique than anyone you know. I learned that from you, too.

I care about what I write now. Because maybe, somehow, you are reading thisor feeling my words and thoughts flowing through you this time. I hope they are good enough to express the love I have felt for you throughout my lifetime. I hope you can feel me now, finally. And I hope Ive made you smile this onceas you have made me smile so many thousands of times. If love can help you where you are now, then I give all my love to you now, as a gift, for all youve given me.

I will miss you so much, Michael. After your memorial on TV, I just stared at that empty dark stage and wept with the thought that you will never come leaping out of the blackness again to thrill us all with your gifts and magic. I will never look at a stage again with such excitement and thrill as I once did when waiting for you to grace it in your own amazing way.

No one still comes close to you, even now. No one ever will. There is only one Michael Jackson. And that thought both fills me with joy and breaks my heart at the same time. You are not gone and you never will be. You are dancing in my heart right now at this very moment. And you are eternal, you are young forever now. You can play, and laugh and sing, not for profit but for the pure joy and fun of it all.

You can play forever and ever now Michael. There are no interviews you have to go to, no recording sessions to be on time for. You have earned your paradise thousands of times over. You deserve it all. Enjoy it all. Laughand smile nowand rest sweet prince.

You go to a beautiful place where you will never hear the word freak or wacko again. You will never hurt again. You will never cry another tear. You go to a place where James Brown and Jackie Wilson await your company. They wait for you to come and teach them how to moonwalk.

I love you Michael. Ill always love you. I was selfish and wanted to keep you here but I see now that God has bigger plans for you now. This world was not good enough for you and I know that you are in a better place now, happy and free. Youd make a fierce guardian angel. I hope you watch over me and my family from time to time.

And Im no longer afraid to die when its my turn now. I know that there will be a Michael Jackson where Im headed and that will make me smile as I walk down that sunny pathtowards the once familiar music I loved so much and hadnt ever forgotten. Only itll be new Michael Jackson musicand Ill have to hurry towards it so I can learn all the new songs Ive missed while I was down on earth.

Until then, Michael, goodbye. No, Im not saying goodbye. I cant.

See you soon, Michael Jackson. Thank you for everything. Ill never forget you. More important, I wont forget all that you stood for. I wont let you die. You live in me, my daughters, in millions of hearts all over the world.

You are still beautiful. You are still magical. You are still Michael Jackson.

I grew up listening to MJ’s music and over the years his music always brought a smile to my face. I know of no one who touched my heart’s happy side as much as he did or the side that addresses the human condition. I feel like a part me has died inside. Michael united people with words of love. I can’t imagine that he is gone with only a half life. I love Michael.
