We don’t think we would want to remain friends with the guy that allegedly smashed our face into a car window, but Rihanna is a more forgiving person than us, it seems. This week, a court ordered Chris Brown to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna at all times (although at music industry events, he can come within 10 yards of her), but the former couple thinks the no-contact clause will get in the way of rekindling their friendship.
Brown pled guilty to one count of felony assault and he was given 180 days of labor service instead of jail time and the “stay-away” order. A friend of the former couple says of the order “it’s unnecessary and ridiculous. After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.” So they’re no longer BF/GF but they totally wanna be BFFs? How very Elaine Benes and Jerry Seinfeld of them.
The mutual friend, speaking to the New York Daily News, did promise that there’s no chance of romance between the pair. “That’s 100% done. They aren’t looking to hook back up again. They’re both moving on and going their separate ways.” [Source: NY Daily News; Photo: Getty Images]

I really do believe that chris should stick to protocol. It is to his advantage, he’ll be alright.
this stay away thing is only into august and i do think they need to rekindle their friendship and leave this in the past….i love them both.
I wish this young talented brother would have asked for help. This huge mistake has jeopardized his career greatly. I truly hope he can bounce back from it all. Chris and Rihanna you need to abide by the rules for your own benefit. There are many life lessons to be learned please pay attention to them. Although friendship is important. Remember to seek God first in all that you do and STAND on his word.
I am a female who had been married for 30 years. We can not judge Chris or Rihanna, that
is not for us to do. Leave the judging to God. Have anyone, the big time celebrities reached
out and offered help or counselling for either one of them. They are both young and have a lot of years ahead of them. Don’t let the talent of another young black man go to waste simply because we want to turn our backs on him. I don’t condone what he did but we have all done wrong at some point in our life or we wouldn’t be human. I hope and pray that the
two of them will be advocates for this Generation. Chris please speak out to the men young and old. Rihanna please speak out to the women. God has a plan for the both of you.

We really don’t know what happened between these two very young and very talented artists. I hate that an outside interest group made this situation about their issue. They were friends before they began dating and if they would like to remain friends it is really none of our business! I am a little tired of the media making a federal case out of this one time incident. I have known actors and rock stars to do much worse and absolutely no one says a word about their mistakes! I have had enough of this story thank you! Move on!
