Consult your doctor before taking medical advice from Bret Michaels. Discussing how his lifelong battle with diabetes has affected his sex life in Elle Magazine, the Rock Of Love star admitted to some sketchy methods for improving his sex life.
The only time it will ever affect you in bed is if you have extremely low blood sugar and you go into insulin shock, at which point you won’t be standing up, let alone performing sex. However, I will sometimes hold off on the insulin, which will jack my blood sugar level up to the low 200 range. It’s like how a prizefighter will want to go into the ring with his blood sugar levels high. It gives you the stamina of a bull. So, yes, sometimes I will endanger my own life to pleasure a woman.
While that bull-like stamina has done him well over the years, we hope Bret is exaggerating the risks he’s taking a little. Then again, there are worse ways to go… [H/T HuffPost]

MEN WILL DO ANYTHING TO HAVE BETTER SEX….SOME EVEN LOSE THEIR LIVES LIKE KUNG FU DID….WHAT A STUPID PERSON BRET IS..
This is officially the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Is this true? Is he serious? Enjoy an early death, Bret. I guess you deserve it. Maybe God won’t make you take insulin.
he’s older than dirt.
Sex is so VERY!! OVERRATED ! You’d be risk’n your life for yourself NOT for me!!!!
All this bone head thinks about is sex!! I just seen him in Sioux Falls So. Dak. I took my little girl for her 7th birthday to see Bret. That _+@!!@$*(“_$)* hole would not even shake my little girls hand…Thanks to Big John for trying to get Bret to see my little girl….But I think if I was one of those SLEEZY SLUTS that chase him and his bus he would of seen my little girl!
THAT’S OKAY BRET……BECAUSE MY LITTLE GIRL HAS BIGGER AND BETTER PEOPLE TO SEE AND MEET!!!
Ew and wtf..? =/ no love boo…
Ewwww is he for real?! And Tina Sully, I feel bad for your daughter <3!
This article must have misquoted him, or he really is weird. I’m type 1 diabetic like him and I can tell you, if you hold off your insulin then your blood sugar goes up, not down! Insulin is what diabetics don’t have, and when we inject it, it regulates the blood sugar so holding off insulin clearly would make blood sugars increase (and then there’s no danger of insulin shock). That’s ridiculous and incorrect what he said! Bah…
