Adele Skips Out On Concert For Britney

You’ve gotta love Adele. The Grammy-winner was booked to appear at singer Daniel Merriweather’s gig but – horrors! – Britney Spears was performing at the O2 arena in London the same night. So the Brit star did the cheeky thing and pulled out of Daniel’s gig, claiming she was sick, while turning up the same night at Britters’ concert. Whoops.

And Adele – who also picked up an award at the Glamour Women Of The Year ceremony this week - also admitted that her shock win at this year’s Grammy awards was definitely a shock to her, too. “I wasn’t prepared at all. I’d undone my belt; I had chewing gum in my mouth…I nearly cried during my speech but then I thought, ‘No, I can’t because of the Kate Winslet Golden Globe moment.
