Susan Boyle‘s fifteen minutes of fame have taken an ugly turn. The singer – who became an international internet sensation thanks to her performance on “Britain’s Got Talent” – has reportedly been suffering from stress due to her second-runner up stint on the show. Her problems apparently escalated into a full-on emotional breakdown this weekend, and the 48-year-old was rushed to The Priory Clinic in London to receive care for her “exhaustion.”
A source at the hotel where Susan was staying said that the Scottish native had been acting odd since coming in second on the hit reality show Saturday night. “The staff were concerned – something wasn’t right,” revealed the insider. “When the paramedics and police arrived she agreed to go voluntarily. She didn’t make a fuss. The paramedics calmly took her out through the main lobby and into the waiting ambulance.”

Sad but true that you have to be very tough in show business. It’s probably better that Susan Boyle didn’t get the final accolade. Louis Walsh made the observation that he felt she would n’t be able for the pressure and he has been proved right. Even the most successful stars have had to endure rejections, both professional and personal, as well as intrusion into their private lives. I understand she may feel this was her final chance etc, but she is still poised for a great career if she keeps it together. Nadine Coyle is a big name now in spite of her initial humiliation and dismissal from a talent show at the start of her career. Yes she was a young ‘babe’ if you like but that in itself is not always a help. The road to Hollywood is strewn with the wreckage of beautiful people, and there are many look-a-likes out there. Susan Boyle has a unique appeal and talent that guarantees her success if she can get her ‘act’ together. I wish her Good Luck but I also fear for her. She may be too fragile a flower!
