Looks like the Kara vs. Paula battle may have a winner already: Kara DioGuardi revealed to TV Guide that American Idol‘s producers have yet to renew her contract. “I’m only here for one season…we’ll see what happens. Hopefully they’ll keep me on.”
Tales of backstage freakouts have become more common, and DioGuardi visibly bolted the stage at the end of Wednesday’s episode, skirting a kiss from Randy Jackson. With Simon Cowell admitting he’s indifferent to her status on the show, season 9 may return the classic line-up—or unveil a brand new fourth.

I don’t watch this crap so I don’t really care, but are FOUR judges really necessary to a show that any human being can tell you whether someone can sing or not?
Heres the thing; 4 judges is too many, it takes too much time to hear 4 opinions when I really only want to hear Simon’s.
Thank God! I’m sure she is a nice girl, but she BUGS me! Her comments are too long and she pans for the camera time. What does she bring to the table? NOTHING that I can see!
Hopefully, we are back to 3, no need for a “brand new fourth”.
I was trying to think of how I can word this gently, however, I could not come up with anything.
I’m sorry but Kara needs to go back where she came from. She did nothing to enhance the show and, yes, that is only my opinion. It is by no means personal! I never even heard of her until the reveal. When all is said and done. as long as Simon doesn’t go anywhere, I am cool with whatever decision is made. Yeah, Yeah, I know……Who am I?
SIMON AND RANDY ARE AWESOME!!!!! paula and kara should just go hide under a rock. wish they didn’t renew her contract. the only good memory of kara is her outdoing katrina. paula……. probably giving simon the coloring books. otherwise, nothing. and nobody should be mad that simon and ryan are getting paid more because america loves them. randy should be too.
