Playing the sweet and shy Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek turned Katie Holmes into every adolescent boy’s dream girlfriend: cute, virginal, and totally gorgeous. Off-camera the actress was an even dowdier version of her on-camera persona, dressing like she was still stuck in her Ohio hometown. But after Tom Cruise swept her off her feet and into his crazy arms, Katie ditched her Midwestern wardrobe for an haute couture closet. She shed a few pounds (after popping out Suri, natch), chopped her lengthy locks and trotted out the trendy boyfriend jeans that everyone is sure to be wearing this summer. Most of the time, I think she looks too fake.
She looks great on both pics. The other one is just a younger and no makeup her and the other one is a more sophisticated her. She looks great without makeup even now.
This just shows nothing good can come out of being Tom Cruise’s wife. She does not look comfortable in her own skin. She never holds her head up. She seems to tuck under as if a huge (ego) is toweing over her. Like Nicole she seems to shrink around Tom. How scary her life must be

Never heard of her before her hook-up with Tom. Her “before” pic shows a happy young woman with the promise of beauty before her. Her “after” pic shows that same happy young woman a little bit older and the promise fulfilled. Good for her!!!!!
