Russell Brand’s New Phone Victim – Barack Obama

A few months ago, Russell Brand‘s career was in trouble after he left a crude message about conquest Georgina Bailie on her granddad Andrew Sach’s — a famous British actor’s — phone, live on the radio. Although some UK newspapers are still having a go at him about it, Russell has clearly worked out that six months is a long time in showbiz and moved on to another phone victim on another radio show — Barack Obama. Thank God, he’s not claiming any sexual shenanigans, but rather talking about sport.

“At one stage Russell put in a call to the Presidential demanding to know if President Obama really is a West Ham [soccer club] fan..He also asked why he hadn’t been thanked for urging voters to back Obama at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards,” reports the Sun.

Naturally, it was an eccentrically-dressed British comic who helped sweep Obama to victory, wasn’t it? Hm. But Russell had better not get too overconfident now that he’s back in favor — his Forgetting Sarah Marshall co-star Kristen Bell threatened to “beat him up” if he ever left a similar message on her grandpa’s phone.
