Madonna Gives Half A Mil To Quake Victims

Madonna, whose real name is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, donated $500k to the victims of Italy’s horrendous earthquake, after the town’s mayor reached out to her. The Italian-American singer’s grandparents came from a place near L’Aquila, central Italy, which suffered the quake on Monday. More than 100,000 people lost their homes and 272 people were killed. Pictured above is a young Madonna visiting her Italian cousins. “I’m happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from,” she said in a statement.
