Jay-Z apparently instructed his protege Rihanna to get as far away as possible from her (allegedly) abusive boyfriend Chris Brown. “Jay-Z told Rihanna she needs to cut things out with Chris, at least in public,” said an insider. While we wish Jay had told her to can Chris altogether, we’re glad someone has talked some sense into RiRi’s stylish brain. He really is the most influential man in hip-hop!
Chris, meanwhile, is still hiding out in Virginia, apparently emerging only for the utmost important reasons, like buying 14 baseball caps at a Lids store. He even took time to chat up the salesperson, who then of course blabbed about the entire conversation. “He said, ‘It’s not what it seems’ about the Rihanna situation,” Shavon Bradshaw revealed. My concern is that we are using the Rihanna and Chris Brown incident to stereotype men who are involved in one-off (isolated) instances and other mild occurrences of domestic violence. I would hate for a child or children to lose a good father, because a vulnerable mom submits to pressure from those who stereotype men, particularly men who were involved in a single episode of domestic violence.

I strongly disagree with Oprahs statement, which claims that, If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.” One hit does not establish a pattern of abuse. There is nothing on which to base any guess that he will hit you again. How do you determine the probability of recurrence without examining each case on its own merits character traits, the history of the subject relationships, facts of each case, etc.? This sounds like stereotyping to me. A stereotype is a fixed notion of a person or group, allowing for no individuality.”

honestly im going to say what needs to be said. )`@+^&_#~$^)`&@@ JAY-Z . who the )`@+^&_#~$^)`&@@ does he think he is. everybody is so hung up on chris brown that no one is trying to see the big picture. he is young as hell #1 AS WELL AS RHIANNA she is no mother teresa . i do not absolve him from his responsibility in this matter but people make mistakes. and rhianna’s decision should not be dictated from any other outside sources. if she wants to leave him alone than that should be her decision noone elses. he obviously cared about this girl because if it wasnt for him her ~((##$#~!`#+(#@ would be bankrupt as we speak. she was about to be damn near homeless. im am sure he has regreted making the decision that he has. and also im sure he has never been faced with a situation like that before . he is learning just like we all have to do as adults control your emotions.
