Top Model Winner Doesn’t Know What A “Riot” Is

When Ok! asked Jaslene Gonzalez about the America’s Next Top Model audition riot, the Cycle 8 winner was surprisingly pro-stampede. “There’s always a riot…I feel like it’s just part of the excitement of the show. You never know what to expect. It’s all types of characters and personalities. Why not cause a riot? It makes great TV.”

Rather than run off with that juicy quote, the tab was nice enough to clarify just what they meant by “riot.” Once she understood they meant “riot” like Rodney King instead of “riot” like Comedy Central roast, Gonzalez quickly changed her tune.

I have not been up to date. Oh! I didn’t hear! I was not aware, I’ve been like, MIA. It’s very unfortunate. I feel bad. I wish everyone the best, and for everything to happen naturally and well for the girls. But for something like that to happen, it’s unfortunate. You wish safety and protection and the best.

Proof that you learn something new every day.
