Fabulous Celebrity Engagement Rings

Getting Kendra Wilkinson‘s 2 1/4 carat princess cut diamond engagement ring was no easy feat for her fiance Hank Baskett.

“I had to be sneaky about it because Kendra’s a little inspector, always picking up clues,” Hank said.

Part of his undercover work included finding out what ring size Kendra is. After some investigating, he found out that the ring fit “right about at my pinkie nail.”

Then it was on to designing the perfect ring for the Girl Next Door. “I wanted something unique just like Kendra. I wanted to get something she hadn’t seen anywhere,” Hank said. He ended up deciding on a floating diamond “so you can see it from all angles.”

Getting it done was another feat altogether, as inspector Kendra would always call Hank while he was in the store working on the ring. “Kendra would just happen to call me then. Every time. I would be like, I’m getting my computer worked on, I’m at the shoe store. I made something up,” he said.

Finally the sparkler was ready to go, but Hank had to wait for the right moment to propose, and so he kept it in a safe in his house. “I’d look at it every day before practice, then I’d clean it. I’d come home from practice and still clean it. No one else touched it, but I still cleaned it,” he said.

Of course Kendra loved her new sparkler, and the best part? She was completely surprised!

“I didn’t even know he was proposing,” Kendra said.

Hank and Kendra plan to marry at the Playboy Mansion in June.
