Citizen Scandal: Cops Find Cat Inside Bong

Lincoln, Nebraska police were leaving a house following a domestic disturbance call when they discovered that the 20-year-old suspect inside, Acea Shoemaker, had a warrant out for suspicion of drug paraphernalia. Returning to the house, police discovered the young man smoking from the homemade bong above. Inside the duct-taped plexiglass bong, they found his 6-month old cat, Shadow.

Shoemaker said Shadow was hyper following the rendezvous withe fuzz, and he thought he’d “calm her down” by putting her inside the bong. “This cat was just dazed,” said a police sergeant. “She was on the front seat of the cop car, wrapped in a blanket, and never moved all the way to the humane society.” Along with drug possession, the suspect is charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty. If Shadow is seriously injured or dies (vets are checking for lung damage), it may be bumped to a felony. Bet Shoemaker wishes someone would put him inside a bong right now.
