Citizen Scandal: Man Falls Outside Strip Club, Claims Hate Crime

David Kocmit potentially faces six months in jail after he slipped outside of a strip club in Cleveland, but told police he was brutally beaten by three African-American men.

According to Kocmit (and he’s sticking to his story), the 27-year-old was leaving Secrets Gentleman’s Club on February 2nd, when a group of black men interrupted him. One called him a racial slur and the three began pummelling him. Kocmit suffered a broken leg and was sent to the hospital. The hate crime investigation came to a halt once police watched the club’s surveillance tape, which showed Kocmit slipping and falling in the parking lot.
