Twenty years ago, Sam Raimi was directing cheap horror films like Evil Dead II. Ang Lee was a house-husband in Taiwan who couldn’t sell a screenplay. Today, Raimi helms the billion-making Spider-Man series and Lee has an Oscar for directing Brokeback Mountain. Both were born on October 23rd. Which one is older?

Raimi’s directing career may have started a decade before Lee’s (they respectively debuted with 1981′s Evil Dead and 1992′s Pushing Hands), but the American is actually four years younger than his Taiwanese counterpart.
