Mariah Carey‘s always been a little awkward in public, so it might not be a surprise that she and Nick Cannon have a hard time finding a comfortable clinch on the red carpet. Then again, didn’t they have a “whirlwind romance?” Shouldn’t that bring us some plausible PDAs? But instead of “head over heels,” we get “wait, what, ok, then where do I put my other hand?” Even at Nick’s birthday party last night at Fuse, the couple couldn’t get their hands to suggest any kind of bond. And even if it’s in the pre-nup that he has to use his far hand so he’s positioned behind her, that doesn’t quite explain the facial expressions. Love isn’t easy, we guess.
