ATLANTA – When Ludacris‘ manager wanted to create buzz for his client’s upcoming CD, he went directly to YouTube. But instead of releasing a flashy video for Ludacris’ song “Let’s Stay Together,” Chaka Zulu just uploaded the track directly to the site with a just picture of the rapper as accompaniment.

TMZ has learned hip-hop legend Nate Dogg is still hangin’ on after suffering a stroke 11 days ago — his second in the last year. We’re told Nate is in stable condition in a hospital ward, but is using an assisted breathing tube — which is not required but makes breathing easier for him. Despite other reports, Dogg, who is currently sedated, did NOT suffer any brain damage. According to our sources it’s too early to tell how this stroke will impact the use of his limbs (his arm and leg were affected from the first stroke) — but there isn’t much movement below his neck at this time. Nate’s due in court on the 24th to face felony charges after he allegedly made death threats to his estranged wife.

British artist Damien Hirst has smashed Picasso’s record for the highest sale price fetched at an auction dedicated to a single artist. Pickled sharks, an embalmed calf, butterfly paintings and 200 other works by Hirst sold for a total of $198 million after a two-day auction at Sotheby’s in London. The previous record was $20 million, set in 1993 for an auction of 88 works by Picasso.

Users of the Internet Movie Database will now be allowed to watch feature films and TV shows free on its Web site, imdb.com, Reuters reported. The popular site, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, features extensive information about television and film. It will offer more than 6,000 titles, including popular television shows as well as classic films. The content will be provided by Sony Pictures Television, CBS, Hulu and more than 500 independent filmmakers.

Langerado Festival Headed To Miami In 2009
The 2009 edition of Florida’s annual Langerado Music Festival will be held at Bicentennial Park in Miami, marking the event’s fifth venue change since launching seven years ago, according to festival co-producer Ethan Schwartz. Next year’s Langerado Festival, to be held March 6-8, will feature approximately 60 artists on four stages. A full lineup will be announced in early November.
