HAPPY 50TH MICHAEL JACKSON

It’s your 50th birthday and you are Michael Jackson, what do you do? “Just have a little cake with my children and we’ll probably watch some cartoons,” the Gloved One told Good Morning America from his home in California today. “I feel very wise and sage, but at the same time very young,” the rumored 2008 MTV Video Music Awards performer said.

In honor of MJ turning the big 5-0, we collected some of Michael’s most “wise and “sage” words:

At the 2002 MTV VMAs, where he did not receive an award:
”When I was a little boy in Indiana, if someone had told me that one day I would be getting, as a musician, the Artist of the Millennium Award, I wouldn’t have believed it. It’s really amazing, I can’t believe it…. David Blaine, your magic is real and I believe in you.”

On calling his youngest child “Blanket”:
“…it’s an expression I use with my family and my employees. I
say ‘you should blanket me’ or ‘you should blanket her’, meaning like a
blanket is a blessing. It’s a way of showing love and caring.”
“So the third one is Blanket, and Blanket is really sweet.”

On World Peace:
“I can’t think of a better way to spread the message of world peace than by working with the NFL and being part of Super Bowl XXVII.”

On children:
“If there were no children on this earth, if someone announced all kids were dead, I would jump off the balcony immediately.”
